Consider this game is totally boughten. Obsidian's Neverwinter Nights 2 wasn't that great; same with KOTOR II. But I'm really excited to see what they do with their own IP

Whoa now, Neverwinter Nights 2 was fantastic.. If truly saw how amazing the game was after playing it on Layonara servers. Those guys put work into the world they developed, it was a continuing story that took the game to a whole other level. So if you have it mate, jump on that website, and really give it a go.. it'll COMPLETELY change your perspective.

As for Alpha, I saw this on that gaming show, Gametrailers? Either way, I was unimpressed, it combined a lot of great things, but in the end I found myself comparing it to the likes of MGS4. One thing that caught my eye was the decision box/time... not only do you not know what you'll be saying, you are restricted in the amount of time to deliver a answer, which makes sense in tense situation.

That's the problem I had with NWN in general. You had to wade through oceans of feces to find something like the server you mentioned, unless you were hardcore about keeping on top of which mods were good. NWN2 in particular felt clunky.

I agree AP reminds me a lot of MGS. I assume it'll be more like MGS than Splinter Cell, since it's an RPG and stats = killing or at the very least stats = easy hiding. (Not that you didn't need to player-skill sneak in MGS, but you *could* just as easily kill people most of the time.)

Although actually, the game it reminds me most of right now is Deus Ex.

I would really like to see some of the RPG aspects of this game at some point soon. This will be a pretty sure purchase for me.

I hear that...

"It will take more than guns..."
*shows some guns*
"it will take more than martial arts..."
*shows some martial arts*
"It will take more than technology"
*shows some gadgets*
"It will take the power of choice"
*doesn't show any choices*

It will take "more than"guns, force, etc. They use that as a way to subhead each section of the trailer. Anyway, I am pretty excited for this game. The title is superbland, but it's about time we had a modern day RPG. Scifi and fantasy are getting old...

Meh. That trailer doesn't really get me excited. I still remember how giddy I got when I saw this trailer: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/9091.html

Aesthetically it looks like MGS1 (I meant that in a good way i.e. art style).

I was glad to hear about this in game informer, especially when they talked about how you could change entire missions through speech. That's something i havent really seen since the real fallout's

Im not sure we're watching the same trailer? I think it looks bad! That final "wont get your missiles back"-guy, looks like a puppet of a ventriloquist. And the CQC looks so uninspiring. This will get like a 67 on Metacritic.

You may be too used to judging trailers by the production values of their rendered brown-black post apocalyptic locations.

What's the name of the song in the trailer? I recognize it but can't place it. BTW, the game looks good. =)

All I could think about is that Obisidian's Aliens RPG is canned.

About this game...It looks... meh. I mean, I love Hollywood-ized spy shit, but this looks and sounds like it's a game from the 90s from the music to the not so impressive visuals. The fact it's an RPG is different I guess, but the trailer didn't impress...

After looking at the trailer I would have to say I'm glad it's delayed.

Looks like a ps2 game. The animations are pretty bad too. The thought of a spy RPG sounds pretty awesome so hopefully a few more months will make it great.

Please fill in the blank. What did the middle eastern guy say?

"Kill me? You not get your *blank* back."

WHat is the blank? Missiles, mission, misses, missive.

It's eating away at me. Please answer for my health.

Game looks cool too.

Despite the flaws with KOTOR 2 I was really happy with it. I blame those mostly on Lucasarts mis-management than Obsidian. DO WANT THIS!
