God please strike this man (woman?) down with a fiery thunderbolt. A well aimed EMP blast from the Goldeneye satellite should do the trick. Anyone? Please!!

I may have to try this out of curiosity.

Picked it up today, and I'm loving it so far. The only issue I have is that it is super easy to get busted. in GTA IV you could break away from a bust and try to escape. Here, if a cop catches you, you're done and you lose all of your weapons. So far, guns and ammo aren't the easiest things to come by, so the constant busts are getting a little annoying. Otherwise, it's a ton of fun to play. In fact, I think I'm going to go and play it some more right now.

just load your game after you get busted since there's auto save.

Whenever I get busted or killed, I just load my save game. It autosaves after every mission you complete, so you never lose anything.

Yeah, that's what I've been doing too. It's just a bit annoying after a while.

I agree that it's a bit odd. You bribe them to get away with robbery, murder, arson, etc but can't bribe them enough to keep your guns.

"So far, guns and ammo aren't the easiest things to come by"

I'm asuming you don't have it available yet, but you will be able to buy guns from ammu nation and they will be shipped to your safehouse.

Yeah, I'm a little further into it now, and I'm not running into the issue as much, at least with weapons.

I don't trust reviews of Grand Theft Auto after Rockstar stomped around the Internet, bullying journalists into giving San Andreas the highest possible ratings.

Wow, great reviews. In fact these aren't just great reviews, they're exceptional reviews: while it could drop later, at the moment these reviews put it squarely on top of the DS metacritic list with 95 average (over Chrono Trigger 92, Mario Kart 91, Phantom Hourglass 90).

My copy's on its way now...

As for the GamePro quote 'can be realized without expending millions of dollars and man-hours' - that may be true but I'm pretty certain this game had a budget many times higher than a typical DS game. You still get what you pay for - just on a different scale.
