Developer The Behemoth has released its first trailer for The Crying Sugar Cube Leprechaun -- OK, that's not the real title, but the game doesn't have a name yet ... so deal. Actual details on the unnamed party platformer are pretty scarce at the moment, with no price, console nor game details announced. What we do know is that the game is expected in 2010, but considering what happened with Castle Crashers, let's just put 2010 in the category of hopeful dreaming for now. Let's also pray that any online play actually works on day one this time.
All The Behemoth would say is that the game is in the "very super early development stage right now." Check out the video after the break for an idea of what to expect from The Crying ... we gotta stop, that's how fake rumors about titles get started.
The soccer thing looked more of a multiplayer mini-game. The actual game seems like a solid platformer with no soul, which is odd for behemoth. I'm hating the block design, no level will really have it's own feel.
I'm not wholly certain what I just saw, but am fairly certain it's not something to my tastes. I didn't care much for Alien Hominid, but did like Castle Crashers.
I must admit, I'm loving Castle Crashers, but that trailer didn't do much to excite me about this new game. I don't know why, but this new game feels over-hyped already. Here's hoping it turns out to be a great game, though!
What was I lookin' at? Puzzle game? Co-op platformer? I love their games' humor and art style, just not their glitchyness and slow patching process....we'll see.
So it seems to be what most people were expecting, a new take on the classic platformer. Looks good from what I saw, the style is as great as ever and the co-op looks interesting.
It's just that your comment has not value at all to the viewer. You could have at least said why you believe you're "wasting" your money and backed it up with something intelligent.
Bummer... Even though I'm not a fan of RPGs, I was hoping that the screen was the sign of an RPG(couldn't think of how to better word that, sorry). I can't believe that there will be a game by The Behemoth that I will not buy. Kind of nice to see the PDA Mini-game boat in there... Actually, this kind of looks similar to the Platformer/Puzzle PDA mini-game. I hope that this game is so early in development that the entire structure of the game and the gameplay gets changed.
Wow, just wow, right? It looks like it is very co-op heavy. And Weird. And umm... did anyone else see something reminiscent of Super Smash Bros. in that?
So I wasn't the only one who noticed a little SSB going on in that trailer. It seems to be a 2D, co-op, platform, puzzel, brawler, mash-up of sorts...very odd trailer.
Nice. It's kind of like a cartoony version of Little Big Planet. I wonder what they would come up with if they worked on a full 3D next-gen game. *head implodes*
Pretty cool looking over all. Loved Castle Crashers. One nagging thing...WHAT IS THAT SONG IN THE TRAILER?! I love epic classical music like that, but alas, I don't know what song that is... please help?
That reminds me of the PDA games on Alien Hominid. I CAN'T WAIT! Looks really fun, but if it's only a party game thing that will be a bit lame. But hey, it's the Behemoth, it's bound to be good. :D
