The xbox website seems to imply they are all in the same DLC.

I guess my question is wether or not you can play them on the same console and/or save state the game?

Quick, someone throw together an XNA clone of all these games and release them ALL for 200 points. That'll show 'em.

@ Erluti If that's the case, I'll gladly reconsider. I was excited to hear these titles coming with online play since EA decided to leave it out of Monopoly. If these are bundled together, I will definitely download the demo.

What sounded like a good deal at first glance really turned into a stinker. 800 points for the group and they have a sale - 800 or each and I can't see a reason to get even one.

Oh snaps! This is devious!
Apparently it's a loader for all the games. It's free. But you can only play demos. You then have to buy each game at 800 points a piece like they were DLC or something.

Maybe the ships will be placed randomly and are invisible to both players... or you can choose from 4 different ship formations mapped to A, B, X, and Y and the none of the formations would have any overlapping hit-squares. That way you would know which formation you chose without your opponent knowing, just don't let them see what button you pressed.

A piece? Ok? What'd you expect? All those games for 800 points? All of their board game counterparts are about that price too, but for some reason this is a rip off? But when it comes to RE5 DLC, joystiq agrees with capcom? I'm having trouble understanding you guys recently.

The high price of board games largely has to do with component costs, while with video games (especially downloadable games) you expect to get more bang for your buck. It has to do with different expectations of value in video games compared to board games

As far as the Resident Evil thing. It also has to do with expectations. While I think Capcom's choice was ill-advised, I don't see any reason to believe that Resident Evil 5 must have multiplayer to begin with. So I somewhat agree with Joystiq's defense.

I was under the impression that this would be a single title containing the full collection of games... Lame.

It's been far too long since Carcassonne and Catan were released, and no one ever plays Ticket to Ride or Lost Cities. Getting a bit desperate for complex board and card games on XBLA and PSN, especially after EA's botched attempt at Monopoly.

Full size connect four is $19 on Amazon. But the mini-travel one is $8.

Unlike video games, board games don't become worthless after it's been out a year.

Hmm, let's see here. For the all the games on a nice hard drive space saving disc, Hasbro Family Game Night is 19.99 on the PS2 and 39.99 on the Wii, but instead will cost SEVENTY BUCKS on the 360.

Wow, EA. Just wow. Way to use up all the goodwill you got last year for turning over a new leaf.

The sad thing is since EA is now the #1 company for making gamers pay for gamerscore (see EA Live Draft and Live Score Trackers), they're going to have people tripping over themselves to fork over money for that nice shiny 1400GS that this game will be worth.

Is Joystiq right on this point?... as far as I know the pack of this week includes Yahtzee, Connect Four, Boggle and Battleship, all together for 800 MP and later there will be another pack of games for 800 MP.... I think no one catches the point that there are two packs and no 8 different games for that price...

I don't see how everyone see's this as a rip off or overpriced. I bought the 360 version of Monopoly for $40 when I have a $20 board version of it, and the 360 version is all people want to play in my dorm. I would love to play some of these games with those same people. I'll pick up a few of these sometime soon.

This is just sad.
I would gladly pay 800, 1200, or even maybe 1600 for a well done port of a GOOD, deep, and or unique board game like Zombies!!! (and it's expainsions), Android, Agricola, Memoir '44, etc.
I love Catan, Carcassone, Ticket to Ride, and Lost Cities! (And would love to see the other expansions for Catan be added to the digital line up!)

But these? Yes they are classics, but I've seen flash ads on websites that have more depth.
Hell, they've been selling these games in collections on the other platforms for years! I think I can pick up 4 of these games on a Nintendo GameBoy Advanced cartridge for under $5...and that's portable!

Booo EA/Hasboro, you greedy whores.

Oh, ok, before some decry the "depth" comment, I forgot Scrabble was in there...so yeah. I'd maybe pay for Scrabble if it was done well...but they should give a $5 discount for having to fend off Mr. Potato head every time I'd want to play... :)
Sorry's fun too, but still, like I said, offer it as a bundle. These are not new games and was most likely not to difficult to port over considering they have already been in digital form for years.

Seriously people. They may be classic favorites, but don't justify their lazy greed. They don't care about connecting people or bringing back nostalgia or fun. They want to wring as much money out of lazy ports of stale classics as possible without having to develop anything new.
If you love these games and don't have them yet, but the real thing and play with family and friends. It'll be more satisfying.

This is why I have stop buying any of there games, I do miss my football and baseball but damn make the smaller games more reasonable in price and then maybe I will go back to playing your games. Guh...well I won't be paying 10$ for Battleship or Connect FOUR...that's for sure.

Methinks many will be torn as YAHTZEE, BOGGLE, and definitely SCRABBLE could be worth the 10$ w/ Multiplayer...I don't know about SORRY or SORRY SLIDERS.

I do hope they do a discount on an online Bundle if you buy them all at once...as they have done.

Early adopters of course will be penalized if you buy each game 1 at a time.

But 10$ for the likes of CONNECT FOUR....cmon.....thats ridiculous.

There's no other feasible explanation for how bass-ackwards the decisions this company makes are.
