Titmouse Inc., creators of Metalocalypse, today announced that it is opening a brand new game studio. The studio, appropriately named Titmouse Games, is already working on its first project. Titmouse Inc. executive producers Chris and Shannon Prynoski will serve as president and vice president of the studio, respectively. Aaron Habibipour, whose resume includes work on the Guitar Hero series, Darkwatch and GUN, will serve as creative director.
The studio's debut project is a console action RPG titled Seven Haunted Seas. It's billed as "a dark comedic tale about an undead pirate, Scurvy Pete, that returns from hell to find a dark, post-apocalyptic future where he must right all his wrongs to restore the world." Wait a minute. A pirate -- who is also a zombie -- fighting to save the world in a post-apocalyptic future? Looks like Brütal Legend has some competition for best plot ever. Watch the trailer here.
If you'd like to get in on the Titmouse fun right now, you can check out its Dr. Zomba app for the iPhone.

My favourite thing from Titmouse Inc. (Their animation/design studio) was MTV's Downtown. What an underrated show...

All it's missing is that he should be part ninja and part robot and the game would be perfect.

Clearly the developers are hacking into my brain. How else could they devise a game so well suited to my fantasies. I love pirates and fondly remember playing "The Secret of Monkey Island" when younger. I am also big into post apocalyptic movies like "Mad Max" and "A Boy and His Dog". And zombies, their just icing on this mushroom cloud cake. Can't wait to hear more about it!
