Does this mean we're getting a new comic strip, "Howard and the Cole-Train"?!
Ahmedz @ Mar 18th 2009 4:49PM
a 2nd comic-related post in less than an hour?
what are you up to, Joystiq?
D-5 @ Mar 18th 2009 4:57PM
Man, I remember Nester and the comics in Nintendo Power. For those who didn't live through the 8-bit and 16-bit eras of video games, you guys missed out.
Ahmedz @ Mar 18th 2009 4:59PM
I was born in the 16-bit era and I only heard about Nintendo Power 4 years ago =/

No Howard and Nester comic for reference? For shame Joystiq.

I loved Howard and Nester the characters(they were like what Mario is today mascot-wise) but I don't actually remember the comic being that good.

Ahh Howard and Nester! I still have my Nintendo Fun Club ID card around somewhere.

My heart skipped a beat (in a bad way) when I first saw the headline. My brain only saw "Nintendo" and "Philips"... which lead me to remember the CD-i and it's terrible Zelda games....
But having said that, I never actually played those Zelda games, I think if they were in fact released on Virtual Console, I'd pick em up, just to see what all the fuss was about...

WHAZZAT???
An Ender's Game game? That would be so awesome to have zero gravity battles. Remember, kids, the enemy's gate is DOWN.
Rob Accomando @ Mar 18th 2009 7:49PM

D-5 @ Mar 19th 2009 9:38AM
The Obama/Shepard Fairey poster-like avatars are still around?

I'm still holdin' out for that Empire game, Chair. Even if it wasn't really the subject of the article, it's good to here something about it. Wasn't that announced in 2006 or something?
