Honestly, the story for Hero for 30sec (Yuusha 30) isn't as interesting as its unique gameplay and style, though you'll still want to watch this trailer (found after the break) to get a better understanding of the game. Hero for 30sec follows a war between humans, who are on the verge of extinction, and 51 demon kings. See, it's the result of a 500-year-long battle ... which you'll only get to play the final 30 seconds of.
Make sure you stick around and watch the whole vid (it reveals a new four-player ad hoc mode!), otherwise you might miss some hilarious-looking CG near the end.

Playing for Yuusha 30 for the story would be kinda like playing MGS for the gameplay, wouldn't it?

or playing ANY fighting game for the story
or playing final fantasy (the older ones) for their original gameplay
or playing a racing game for its originality
or playing a console RTS for its great controls
i can keep going, but i believe the point has been made. this list has not been meant to offend :)
ANYWAY back on topic....
i loved the demo of it. it was pretty sweet. i guess the story is to say, well THESE guys are the bad guys and you're the good guys

WhiteShield: Uh, no.
Those don't work, because you're just saying "haha, X has great properties, but it's Y sucks". MGS's gameplay doesn't suck. And what we've seen of Yuusha 30's story doesn't suck either.
Yuusha 30 has incredibly original gameplay, that you either love or hate. It's story is interesting, and not bad, but really only exists to move the gameplay along.

how is that not agreeing with you? those aren't the reasons that you play the games, which is the same with MGS. it has a great story but i sure as hell don't play it for the gameplay. sorry if i contradicted what you were trying to get at :( lets all be friends. all you need is love!

:) This just looks better and better with each new video released. Even if the story itself is not fantastic, the game play looks fun.

and it seems that each character has totally different gameplay, which is a big draw.

It seems like it's an episodic content. Near the end, it says
February: Hero 30
March: Queen 30
April: Demon 30
May: Knight
and..Feb has already passed lol?

It's the release date of the demos for each mode of the game, February was the demo that let you try out Hero mode, March is for the Princess/Queen, April is for the Demon and May for the Knight.
