God of war is the best PSP game! And probably one of the best portable games, ever.

I agree. It's the closest thing I've ever seen to a fully realized console experience on a portable.

I'm playing through it for a third time now.

Best portable game ever, what the hell.
I think that GTA DS game is going to take that crown.

Maybe, but Chains is on a non-Nintendo system, and therefore will never satisfy Lee, no matter how good it is.

So *that's* why the last Wii game I bought was Brawl and last DS game (before GTA) was Advance Wars Dual Strike.

Shit man. I need to recalibrate myself. Regardless of the fact that I state I prefer my PSP over DS thanks to LocoRoco 2, Star Ocean, Monster Hunter, Patapon. Are you new here?

God of War is a great PSP but I don't think it's the best. There are a lot of really great games on the system. Most of the time whatever is in my PSP screams "Best Portable Game Ever!"

I tried God of War and it was alright I guess, I wouldn't pay for it though. Just didn't grab me.

There are many great games on it. Chains isn't one, it's funny but the ones they really hyped up are the poorest IMO.

FFVII (playable on modded PSP) is better than Crisis Core with it's ultra rubbish battle system.
Wipeout is as slippy as hell to control, a shadow of F-Zero for that. Chains is too short, much too repetative. I just hope LBP and Motor storm turn out decent and don't become turds to control.

I finish GOW and start again and start again, it's feel addictive (in a good way) like Patapon. Graphics are amazing and sound. But sadly i bought a used copy of the game for $35 and now new it's gonna be $20!! lol.

And about Patapon, how it was lowered to 20 if that was the prize from the beginning? i'll be buying patapon 2, i can't wait.

I thought the MSRP for Patapon is $20, I mean that's what I paid for the game.

Patapon's been $19.99 (even $9.99 in more than a few corners) for several months. I don't remember it even being any higher than that.

That's what I was thinking...it came into the market at $19.99, so does that mean the price remains the same...with different packaging???

Does anyone else have a problem with actually finding certain "older" PSP games? Do they go out of print really fast or something? I mean, I have never seen an non-used copy of Killzone: Liberation or Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow or Capcom Classics Collection anywhere. Honestly, most places I go usually only has like 10 million copies of the same 20 games.

Agreed. The shelf space they reserve for PSP games only allows for so many titles, so the newer ones end up getting sold while the older ones seem to get the shaft :(

Kz:l is a great game too.

I've seen those games at retail once, and that was at a Fry's Electronics along with a bunch of PSP 2000's.

Don't know what's with PSP games, but where I live rental stores don't even carry any psp games for rental.

Really? I can't bear the thought of ever setting foot in a Walmart again (especially not in my neighborhood) but $10 a piece is a pretty tempting price...

Yeah DangerMouse, my local Target has pretty much the full array of Capcom''s stuff as well. All those plain white boxes with all the boxart crammed in a circle, looks like games for a leapster or something.

As for Logan's Shadow, it was $9.99 for months on Amazon, but now it's gone up a bit.

I love telling my two cheap-PSP-games-find stories. K-Mart had Wipeout Pulse (on Amazon for $22.49) for $5.00... no type. They were selling the game for FIVE dollars.

Next up, I was at Best Buy about a week later and they had half price on select games. Killzone: Liberation was one of them. They had it marked down to 14.50 from it's regular 19.99 Greatest Hits cost. Then half of that made it $7.25. Can't go wrong. Killzone is awesome. Wipeout I don't play but I couldn't resist at 5 dollars.

Damn... All the games that I want from this batch I already bought.

If Sony really wants to stick it to the used game stores then they should release games that are hard to find and expensive, like Ace Combat X.

Also, the prices for the PSN should be at least CLOSE to what you'd find in the store. $22 for Jean de Arc? Get serious.

Ace Combat X was sorta re-released. But as far as I can tell, only through Gamestop.

I grabbed a brand new copy (sealed) for $20 last week and it's currently available on the website for purchase.

For those in Europe, the majority of those (I think excluding Vegas and GoW) are available for download from the store at Platinum pricing too.
