Weekly Webcomic Wrapup wraps up the Webcomics Weekend

We're coming to you live from the floor of the 2009 New England Webcomics Weekend, and let us tell you -- things are getting straight tazy. Scott Kurtz and Jeph Jaques have been competing in a raucous, Raiders of the Lost Ark-esque drinking contest, and ... everyone's ... drawing stuff. Fine -- we're not actually there. Our somewhat irrational fear of the State of Massachusetts prevents us from attending. Still, we're fairly certain that equal amounts of irresponsible drinking and illustrating are taking place.

Hey, at least our non-attendance has permitted us time to dig up our seven favorite gaming-centric webcomics from this past week. They're listed below, and presented in cutting-edge poll-o-vision after the jump. Vote for your favorite, and suggest some new regulars in the comments section!

Only Dueling Analogs made me laugh this week, so they got my vote.

Seconded. Penny Arcade got a little smile out of me for the last frame and the rest were just meh.

Dueling Analogs just seemed really confusingly written. I mean, I got the joke and everything, but it was like having it explained to you by some Oxford student who makes it as long winded as possible.

What did Dipswitch have to do with gaming?

"Toasty" is an MK reference, but the joke was still pretty idiotic. Nothing was good this week and good lord the RE5 racism shite is played out. It's AFN by real world humor-expiration standards, let alone those of the internet.

I didn't find it funny at all - but the same thing goes for everything else this week.

I voted for it because I really liked the art.

it was pretty good, the art style is amazing comparatively though, I see a good future for that one ;)

Nice to see Burn the Internet get some lovin. I subscribe to it. (It's not really a comic most of the time, though, but that's not the point of the blog. :P)

I guess that's what happens when we let our artist write in the words as opposed to cutting and pasting text. Not to point out further errors, but he got "ecstasy" wrong too.

MNC was an obvious gag, but it was amusing. the rest were fails -- either too long or not interesting. To be fair, Penny Arcade was interesting, well drawn, and topical albeit not funny...

I remember trying to ruin the landscape in the old Zelda games. Every time I look away, everything is back to the way it was. Stupid lawn gnomes fixing other people's lawns, graves, and giant shrubberies.

See, this is strange. I had three comics this week other than the 'bonus' comic I threw out there.

They chose the bonus comic, when I feel that Wednesday's comic or Friday's comic would have been stronger.

I don't know what this world is a comin' to. Thanks for voting...That was really just a comic for me and a buddy of mine on the arcade tourney circuit.

Still...a bit of a head-scratcher, this choice.
