Weekly Webcomic Wrapup wraps up the Webcomics Weekend

We're coming to you live from the floor of the 2009 New England Webcomics Weekend, and let us tell you -- things are getting straight tazy. Scott Kurtz and Jeph Jaques have been competing in a raucous, Raiders of the Lost Ark-esque drinking contest, and ... everyone's ... drawing stuff. Fine -- we're not actually there. Our somewhat irrational fear of the State of Massachusetts prevents us from attending. Still, we're fairly certain that equal amounts of irresponsible drinking and illustrating are taking place.

Wow, to be honest, I haven't cared much for Dipswitch, but both the Overkill and SW comics got a chuckle out of me. Nice work.

Well, the MK comic was sort of a tribute to a friend of mine. And while Ed wasn't the one to say 'Toasty'...the joke was already paper thin. Putting Ed Boon and his ridiculous eyebrows in panel two is worth a chuckle to me and about fifty other people by my estimation.

My point is that the other days of the comic this week were better...and it sucks that those weren't able to be judged rather than the least of them. (Even in MY OWN estimation it was the least funny comic of mine last week, much less compared to others.)

As for swears, Ghen, yeah, now that I'm on my own website I feel the PG-13 restriction on language/content felt false. Since I don't talk that way in real life or make jokes safe for kids in real life.

Unless you're making fun of the extreme cursing in the Friday Comic. Which I think is a level of irony only Zen Masters can achieve. :)

Most of those were terrible. The Brawl in the Family one wasn't too bad though - probably because it wasn't talking about Resident-fucking-Evil.

sunking makes the BEST comics guys. For real.
