Well i know almost all the lyrics to ice baby but i cant name a hip hop song out today.

Hip hop and rap with a purpose & message absolutely still exists. You won't find it on the top 100 charts or anything but it's out there.

Check out some of these guys if you want some hip hop/rap with awesome lyrical content thats actually relevant to society. It's also unfair to single out one genre when you have the other genres spitting out pop-rock.

Wow, I think you just disqualified yourself from talking about music right there buddy! You... you do know that Daft Punk's music is nothing but samples, right? And "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" in particular is a TERRIBLE choice to try to defend your point with; Kanye arguably changed the Daft Punk tune more than Daft Punk changed the Edwin Birdsong original. But I'm guessing since you seem to know very little about electronica and nothing about hip-hop... funk is probably entirely out of your depth, right? Well here, let me help:

Dude, if you don't want to buy Scratch, then fine, don't. But don't get your panties in a bind over the fact that the game is coming out. There are a lot of people, myself included, who have wanted a scratching game of this sort since Guitar Hero came out. And for the record, Kanye, I am not the biggest fan of, but there are some excellent artists/projects listed in the trailer... Tech N9ne, Deltron 3030, Mix Master Mike, I'm sure there's going to be other excellent tracks in the game. But regardless, quit hating on a genre you know nothing about, it just makes you look dim.

Because some people enjoy playing video games and don't necessarily want to learn to play an instrument instead? I'm the opposite, and I'll never understand why people keep bringing this argument up. I've been playing guitar for about 15 years, sooooo should I not be playing Guitar Hero again? Or, now that I know how to play real guitar, does that mean it's ok if I do play Guitar Hero?

I mean c'mon, this shouldn't be hard. You can't compare a videogame to learning an instrument, two different things.

Because learning to play a real instrument is actual work, meaning not fun?
