... (The Conduit will be "the best-looking game on the console" and will include the "best available" multiplayer the Wii has ever offered.) ...

Talk about hyping your game up! He is either talking out of his ass or he knows what he saying is TEH TRUTHZE

Saying your game will have the best multiplayer the Wii has seen is kind of like saying Halo Wars is the best selling console RTS. Not that it isn't a true statement but there isn't much there to compare it to and I believe it will be the first Wii FPS exclusive with online multiplayer.

Graphics are so subjective that there isn't any metric to determine what someone else thinks looks best, so, thats kind of a moot point.

... ( Conduit producer Josh Olson said High Voltage Software's Wii units had been "gathering dust" due to a lack of games for the core audience.) ...

There have been a lot of people on this very site made into the villian for saying the exact same thing. I'm not sure if he is being sincere or if he is trying to rally core support for his title. Only time will tell whats true and whats false.

"I believe it will be the first Wii FPS exclusive with online multiplayer."

Not true.

Medal of Honor: Heroes 2. 32 player online. The PSP version doesn't count.

uh, why doesn't Heros 2 on PSP count?

Are you saying that game was never made and did not have an online component?

The thought is just as crazy as saying RE4 was cube exclusive.

Even if we say the PSP version doesn't count thats still only one other exclusive it has to beat in terms of online multiplayer. What I'm getting at is that there isn't much to compare it to in the first place as in Halo Wars being the best selling console RTS when there haven't been many.

If the game is as technically competent as they suggest (and they're staking their company's entire reputation on it, it seems) - I just hope they're willing to license their engine.

Playing an FPS on Wii can be enjoyable. The new Call of Duty doesn't compare to PC or PS360, but the analog stick wiimote system is a nice hybrid of dual analog & keyboard-mouse.

The problem is that nobody's (been crazy enough) to sink the time and money into optimizing FPS software for Wii. People scream about Capcom's Dead Rising for Wii. At least that was (apparently) playable. No, I'm thinking maybe Ubisoft could atone for the unpolished turd that was Far Cry:Vengeance. Seriously, I enjoy FC2 on PC. I enjoy World at War on Wii (really). If the Conduit *works* - heck, I'd buy a Far Cry game running on its engine.

I want them to settle down, sometimes is not good to over hype a game. They should keep their mouths shut for now because I don't want them to put such high standards on the game that when IGN and others reviews it, anything under the expectations that High Voltage has set will give the game bad reviews.

If it's to have the best multiplayer the wii has offered it will have to have online (obviously) but also local co-op and competative play. Otherwise the multiplayer will fall well short of Mario Kart Wii's supert multiplayer offerings.

For me personally, local multiplayer (particularly co-op) will make the difference between buying it or not.

The no-go for me is if the online multi player uses the stupid "friend codes" system. Medal of Honour: Heroes 2 is a fantastic game because EA decided to do multi-player the right way.

Mind you the one thing which would have made it better would be local multi-player. Sometimes I want to play some goldeneye style multi-player.

My Wii was gathering dust until sometime last October, when I found that I could play more than just emulators and homebrew with the Homebrew Channel.

so far the best multiplayer experience is delivered by Mario kart wii(15 mil units )
and fps wise is WAW(1million sales under a year).Thats a lot of competition so they better show us some baddass game.
