like a lot of others, i'm waiting for Broken Steel anyway, because I'm already at the level cap and don't want to waste new quests on a brick wall. This should be resolved by then.

I am doing the same - I've got nearly 100 hours into the base game and still have things to do/explore. No rush here...

Is anyone not having issues?

I was really looking forward to this and might roll the dice if it works for some people.

So it's just as broken as the original game.

I think I'll not put myself through the headache and skip it.

The 360 version is 190 Mb smaller than the PC version. PC players aren't having issues with the DLC.

Some of the files are missing from the 360 version of The Pitt. Give them some time to get all the files together and redownload once you see that The Pitt DLC is about 692 Mb.

Granted this shouldn't have happened in the first place but it doesn't seem to have anything to do with code or play testing, if that were the case PC players would have the same issues. Missing files seem to be the culprit.

Flame if you must

Do we know that the PC and 360 packs should be the same size? Could they have optimized the textures for the 360. After all, the most PC players are probably playing at higher rez than 360 players...

Of course if I do see the size go up, I'll grab it immediately.

I'm playing at 1920x1080p on my 360, doubt that many pc users even have screens capable of hitting that res.

@kal326

You aren't playing at 1080p. You are playing at some lower resolution upscaled to 1080p (probably 1280x720 or such). The 360 can't handle games at true 1920x1080 resolution. While I'm playing my games at 1680x1050 true resolution, and I'm playing using NVIDIA's 3D Vision. That's visually better and more graphically intense than anything your weak console can produce.

I think Microsoft pulled it off of LIVE. I tried to download it from several different places within the Marketplace and their Xbox.com website and all I get now is error messages. Damn that's fast!

He's just bitter because of the realization that some devs may pull the plug on releasing content on the PS3 because they get charged for it.

I'll keep paying my monthly fee and enjoy the content I receive from happy devs, thanks :)

Bethesda is claiming the file became corrupt?

All DLC is digitally signed for security purposes. The chances of the file becoming corrupted and still downloading and running are essentially zero. It is possible someone uploaded the wrong file. It's also possible Bethesda are lying to cover for their mistakes.

It could have been corrupted between what Bethesda sent and what MS signed.

What? Microsoft-only product experiencing errors? Inconceivable!

Normally I wouldn't be so overly critical of system-exclusive software, I'm a big fan of a good game no matter where it comes from or goes to, but after Bethesda screwed PS3 owners over by completely forsaking us and refusing to give us the dlc I do have to say I'm enjoying the irony here.

I don't really see the problem with system exclusive DLC. If you don't like it, why buy the game for that system at all? Thus far it's always been announced far in advance of the games release, it's not like the game was already out and then they hit us with "Oh, by the way, the guys who bought it on this system won't be able to play the expansions".

With both GTAIV and Fallout we were told that the 360 would be getting signifcant, exclusive, expansion sized DLC. Why those who went out and bought it on the PS3 anyway are only complaining now, is just silly..

And yes, I own a PS3.

I don't generally see "moving on" from games as a good thing, and the bottom line is that you're only using that as an excuse to hate DLC that's not available on your system. Games like Fallout 3 and GTAIV were fantastic, and getting new content, especially of this magnitude is definitely very welcome, as it means I can go back and play them. I'd much rather they keep games going like this, before pumping out more sequels.

Your other comments are just even more ignorant..

Even as a silver member, I can buy this content - which is being sold by Bethesda, not Microsoft. Even although Microsoft has paid to keep it exclusive, Bethesda have still put the work and effort into developing the new content, expecting to get it for free would be ridiculous. How often were PC expansions free? This is no different.

I hope this isn't too off topic. I had about 130 hrs sunk into the PS3 version and as I played, the freezing got worse and worse. I lost about 4-5 hrs of play-time due to this. But the final insult came over the weekend. I had the misfortune of trying to complete the "Head of State" quest after "Waters of Life". For those unfamiliar, "Head of State" is a super-tedious group escort mission. It can be completed by mearly waiting at the destination as well. However, this method would not work for me, so I was forced to do the mission manually. So, after following the absolutley insane path the group takes, often walking backwards at a snails pace from the destination, 10-12 HOURS LATER including 3 game-crashing freezes, I arrived at the Jefferson Memorial. The shields the Enclave errected were still up. I spent another hour or so watching the group I was escorting walk back and forth, across the bridge to the memorial, go into the water, come out, walk around the memorial, and so on. Basically, what this means is, we, the Fallout 3 players are supposed to somehow know that this group is going to take the most illogical path possible, and that said path also happens to require passage through THE ONE area in the game that is inaccessable after a main story quest event. The only way to find this out is to go through the whole tedious process. Unacceptable. I never trade-in my games, but I took Fallout and got $40 for it. I should also mention that I lost all my save data in the X-Box 360 version of Oblivion. All of it. After 200+ hours. Never again Bethesda. Your design ambition clearly out-strips your technical competance.

"Most PS3 users have generally moved on from Fallout quite a while back"

Most everyone has, that's one of the points of having good DLC....to bring them back. I put F3 in my 360 for the first time in a couple months last week when I got anchorage, and again this morning when the pitt downloaded. I haven't gotten far enough yet (technically i'm still in DC) to see any bugs though.

But yeah you just sound bitter that you're not getting it.

*Double face-palm. I did everything I could to complete the "Head of state" quest. It's a pretty non-linear game you know. It unfolded differently for me. For example. The slavers at the memorial attacked me on site because I eradicated the lot of the slavers at Paradise Falls. I did everything. I got all the extra Lincoln trinkets. Of coarse I gave Hannable the poster, how else do you think I trekked across the map to the now sealed-off Jefferson memorial? The only solution to the issues I encountered that I can think of is that when the main quest is complete, the Enclave shield would come down. But in the PS3 version, when you finish the game, that's it, your done. You can't adventure anymore. With the exeptoin of talking to the slavers at Lincoln memorial, I did everything the way you did. I waited for 84 hrs at the station near the memorial. Why didn't they show-up Einstien? I'll tell you why, because that Encalve shiled was still up. Broken shit.
