Wow! More Silversun Pickups.. Cool..

Let's see, I'll just download them,

head to tour mode, and let's play...

WTF!

Oh ya, if you have GT:WT on Wii, you're screwed and are stuck playing the songs in Quickplay mode.

(Made that mistake once.... I still want my 2 dollars back)

If Rockband is 5, and Guitar Hero is 6, then I am 7.

Eh, I don't get why people don't like it. I'm just not particularly interested in GH or RB, and yet if such an awesome band keeps showing up my hands are kinda tied.

AAAAHHHH Kid Charlemagne! I wish this was available as DLC for Rock Band... guess I might actually pay for some World Tour DLC now. It's annoying to have it spread across different titles though

As much as I want a few songs on Guitar Hero World Tour, I don't stop believing that Harmonix will one day have these on their Rock Band series. This can be said the same vise versa but I'm a Rock Band kinda guy.

The Steely Dan pack is the only thing World Tour's announced so far that's really made me grind my teeth. I really want to see more of them on Rock Band, especially since RB2 (and hence Bodhisattva) aren't in Australia yet. -_-

Also +1 for the "don't stop believing" reference William. :P

Oh man, Pixies AND Nirvana.

I might just have to pick up World Tour with instruments and get me some Rock Band 2 discage later.

Been trying to decide between the two, seems WT has the better "toys" but RB2 has better songs. If WT's instruments work with RB2 I'll be doing it in that order for sure.

Debaser FTW!

I haven't played on the Guitar Hero World Tour drums but the guitar is not good compared to previous guitarsl. If you can, try and get a hold of a Les Paul or Xplorer.

I had a friend whose yellow cymbal snapped clean off his GH:WT drum kit.
Whilst my Rock Band (one) kit is still going strong (sans one home made mod).
The GH:WT drum kit is a whole lot of fun though. Just make sure you get one that works well.

I should add that I kinda prefer the RB guitar. The thick neck on my GH:WT one gives me a cramp in my left hand after a while.

I haven't had the chance to use any RB2 hardware (being an Aussie), but I'm sure it'd be pretty good.... right?

RB2's drums are better, much better. The guitars are a wash, though the WT guitar has some problems. It's really about preference there (clicky strum vs. silent, flat buttons vs. candy bubbles).

I play real guitar so I think the thick neck will feel more natural. Thick neck is the same one with flat buttons, right? Sounds like the one for me.

Unfortunately I recently sold a Les Paul controller with GH3.

It's an awkward decision cause they aren't cheap! I think I need to try some out.

Thanks for the advice.

I only use the GH3 Les Paul with RB2. It's just always been the most comfortable to me (and the whammy bar placement is much better than the RB2 guitar, I think)

Off topic, I just want to say that it's stupid that RB2 has an achievement that you can only get with the RB2 guitar. 100% any solo on Expert with solo buttons only. Short sighted, I think.

The GH:WT guitar has the bubble buttons like the Les Paul. The touch pad is a nice touch, but I feel that it got pretty old pretty fast.

I really like the RB strat personally, but when I play GH:WT I always bust out the guitar for that.

I guess it comes down to whatever is more comfortable and whichever one has the features that tickle your fancy. If you can get your hands on both them, give them a go. Both are good in their own right.

Sorry if I didn't make your decision any easier. :P

At least they're got a regular schedule. I wonder how these things are selling? Is the GH:WT owner a DLC buyer?

So far, picked up:

-Hendrix pack (both of them)
-Rise Against pack
-Nirvana pack
-Raconteurs pack
-Springsteen pack (free)

and a couple of others that I can't remember off the top of my head. GH is starting to get its DLC shit together. March and April are both awesome, as far as DLC lineups go.

Between this and RB2, I'm running out of money to spend.

weak Nivrvana tracks, solid Motorhead, Steely Dan is just ok and The Pixies are the quintessential love them or hate them band. One good silversun pickups song, the other two are new. Panic Switch is just ok, sounds like SSPU but it doesn't have a great hook or anything. The other I haven't heard yet.

I'm not the biggest Nirvanna fan, but c'mon, no Come As You Are? I've been waiting for two years for that song (there has been sparringly Nirvanna DLC over the last couple years, and I always get my hopes up that that song may pop up).

Oh well.

oh my oh my
that is a very nice and interesting nirvana pack there,

rockband nirvana dlc was one of the few additional song packs i didn't hesitate spending money on, yet still it was good old Nevermind (besides something in the way and polly are two songs they should have NEVER considered). if they released Bleach instead, now that would make me lose my head.

There are a lot of people who think Pixies are terrible. In fact, there is an entire layer of hell reserved for the lot 'em. It's sandwiched in between Husker Du and The Replacements Hell, so it's like one big ornery party down there.
