The fine purveyors of DRM-free classics at GoG.com have announced an agreement with Ubisoft, which sees good old(ish) games like Beyond Good & Evil and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time added to the downloadable lineup. Joining action journalist Jade and the time-swindling prince are ... the aeroplanes of IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946! We guess they weren't really going for much of a theme outside of all three costing $9.99 each.
Other Ubisoft titles slated to hit the PC service "in the coming weeks" include Heroes of Might and Magic, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six and Not Tom Clancy's Far Cry.

agreed, Beyond Good & Evil was one of the most underrated games of that era.

Not Tom Clancy's Far Cry? I don't know... the "Not" in front of "Tom Clancy" makes me doubt that the game was made by Tom Clancy. And there's no point in playing a shooter that doesn't result in me throwing my controller at the wall five minutes after booting the game up.

Buying POP:SOT now, loved Warrior Within for the gameplay (story and characters- meh) and hopefully the original will be as good as it's said to be.
God I hate the new Prince of Persia.

I loved Sands compared to Warrior Within because of the story being a lot more simple and heartening, and the characters/soundtrack/environments not being so morbid and dark. If you can deal with the slightly less refined controls, you've got a great game there.

There is no new Prince of Persia.
It's worse than the Star Wars prequels and Indy IV.

It should be a buy for everyone. I can't really say that BG+E was underrated, everyone seems to love it so much. The fact that no one bought it was the issue, so I think you know what to do ;)
I've already got it on Steam.

No, you won't. GOG makes all its games directly XP and VISTA compatible, as well as DRM free.
