Synopsis of argument

t3kni9e: "This game will suck because it is Japanese and Japanese games suck. Japanese need to stop sucking except for MGS4 which did not suck."

Any questions?

No not true... I enjoyed RE5 though I wish it didn't become so much of an action game. I also love Zelda games, though they're always the same. Super Mario Galaxy was great... Most Capcom games in general are cool too, like Lost Planet, SFIV and Dead Rising. I also really liked the Yellow/Red/Blue Pokemon back in the days, but after that it just game really stale because it was the same thing but they added all these other weird pokemon.

In reality JRPG's are the real culprit because they're always the same. Elaborate story, but boring gameplay.

You say not true, but I insist that I accurately summed up your original argument.

Your cookie cutter method would then apply to almost all games HALO, MGS, FF and many other games because it works. Just because the Halo trilogy used the same gameplay doesn't mean its cookie cutter. FF XIII I would see be far from the cookie cutter method, is slowly evolved. FF I-VI was very cookie cutter though
The random battle system is outdated, so I welcomed the change in XII

I agree, which is why I don't tend to buy sequels because they're the same thing different story. But then again not all FPS games are the same. For example Halo is nothing like CoD4 and CoD4 is nothing like SoCom. Yet alot of the JRPG's are similar is so many ways it's amazing. Even the art style is damn near the same.

I loved the Beastiary too. Kill 10 goblins and you can read the backstory of the Goblin race. 3 pages to start, kill 10 more to get more pages. Repeat until the story is done. I would start grinding without realizing it, just to get more backstory on the various bits of Ivalice.

Maybe something similar to Chrono Cross?

I wouldn't mind a new take on CC's combat. Wouldn't mind them using that leveling system too, with its "no grinding" and all.

I loved Chrono Cross' system. I would love one that would add elements that were in Grandia III (which was also awesome) like the combos and cancels.

I was thinking the same thing, the description at least reminds me of chrono cross.

Previous version of Final Fantasy was become much popular but I do not think there is any relations between JRGP because the people play it with very enjoy and that make it popular.

I played both Wow and FF11 and I enjoyed both games. I enjoy the graphic/music/story in 11 while i enjoy the fast leveling/quest and easy game play in Wow. But I stuck with 11 for 2 years because I always been a fan of the FF series
