Didn't raiden make an appearance in Mortal Kombat as well, except he didn't have a sword but thunder, they should bring that thunder back to Metal Gear Solid, he'd look pretty cool with the hat he had in Mortal Kombat.

Funny thing is if you go back and watch big trouble in little china you will a lot of the mortal kombat characters influences. That creepy old man was obviously shang tsung and then the raiden dude.

I am not convinced this is Raiden at all. It is way to obvious for such a little teaser. I would be more than interested in seeing some type of Grey fox story. I have no idea how it would work story wise, but I trust Kojima to pull it off.

The character could also be Gray Fox. It would be pretty cool to play MGS1 from his prospective. Not to mention play his whole side of the story from the very begining of the series.

I don't think that's raiden at all. The thing that points as much is the lack of a bishounen hairdo coming out of the helmet.

Raiden lost his mechanical parts via surgery in the end of MGS4 and went back to live with Rose. So that could not be him unless the game was between MGS2 and MGS4.

Whatever-system whatever-game-this-is is for, I wouldn't mind seeing Kojima's take on a Devil May Cry/Bayonetta-esque action game with Raiden leading the way. If Kojima can bring a leaner story with the same amazing cinematography, yeah. Tits.
