If this new patch doesn't get me back into this game, I'm selling my copy.

Willing to give it one more go.

What are you TALKING about!? I LOVE Baird! He is my default multiplayer character. He's smart, clever, and oh-so-dreamy!

No but seriously I love Baird, I really do use him all the time.

I used Dom and RAAM. Dom because he IS the best, and RAAM because I like to brag about killing him on Hardcore. I have never, ever played as Carmine(s) or Tai. They both irritate the hell out of me. I especially hate Tai's ridiculous one-liners like: 'Let's Dance' and ' Reminds me of my childhood' at the start of a round.

Could care less about Gears at this point.

Used to play the original every other night with my friends for 6-8 hour stretches; then GOW2 came out and it seemed as if Epic suddenly cared more about releasing premium content instead of fixing a terrible online experience.

I can't remember the last time I played a match (probably because I couldn't connect to one.)

Oh, I'm sorry that opinion is stale. You're going to try again since you haven't played since launch day and form your opinion that wasn't given to you by the internet.

I never really played GoW online. But I tried playing some GoW2 yesterday after TU3. Other than one match where there was plenty of lag, I thought it was pretty fun (though I'm horrible)

Did you guys find it to be any good?

Why yes, I find the game to be incredibly fun. It just sucks if you're online with a bunch of cheap bastards who don't care about the game being based around cover that can make it not enjoyable. My friends and I still constantly play this game on Horde and everything else.

This map pack actually looks more fun than the combustible map pack. I may end up picking it up even though $10 isn't too cool. But it still beats SFIV having new costumes cost money.

I just can't see spending $10 on 4 maps... Won't do it for CoD, won't do it for GoW.

Same here. My crew even plays the game all the time, but 800 points for 3 or 4 maps? No way. Not unless some free points fall into my lap.

Oh you're the guy in CoD4 that has the red lettered statement at the bottom of screen while hosting...

"Fezmid does not have the Map Pack!"

=Warning= Fezmid and Viridium : "Watch these two gents...They will invite you to dinner and sneak out the restaurants bathroom window when the check comes.

I remember when Epic games used to be a great value. I'm not saying they're not a worth while purchase, but they seem more interested in selling boring DLC than worrying about the state of the games that they already sold.

To be fair, they wanted the maps to be free, but their publisher (MS) wants to charge and the publisher gets final say.

Motherfluck!

GoW dropping maps like bird poop, yet CoD4 gives us China town and the sniper loving "Creek"?

Modern Warfare 2 better be on the ball map-wise, or my next airstrike will be over Infinity Wards offices

Exactly. I really don't like spending money on four maps of which I only know Fuel Depot is going to be good. I felt ripped off when I spent 800 MSP on the map pack for Gears 1 with Subway, Garden, Process and Swamp, and when I got that I thought that only Subway was good. Why can't we play those maps in GoW2?

And why can't we play GH III DLC in GH:WT?

@Iag25 - Agreed. I can understand the time spent making them, but if you are me and dont play online too much a $5 pricetag might get me into it a little bit more.

Any chance they'll throw a bone to those of us who prefer more episodic content / story add-ons rather than map packs?

Too bad TU3 seems to have gimped the game for the time being, I couldn't get one decent match Tuesday or yesterday. Hopefully things will get better in a few weeks when the game isn't packed to the gills with players.

I mean, I DID notice less glitchers and I haven't seen any lag switchers or standby-ers, but every single match I've played has been a little laggy. Not the super ultra lag that makes the game unplayable, but just laggy enough to make the match unenjoyable...and I'm not exaggerating when I say every single match, I've played 14 matches since the update, and all 14 of them were stuttery.

That said, the smoke grenade and Lancer fixes are Godsends.

Oh, and these maps are too damn expensive, but I'll shell out for them anyway because I'm a sheep.

Yeah, I've had the same experience, but apparently many others haven't. I'm hoping it's just that matchmaking has been overloaded the last couple nights with people wanting to try out the new update and it'll settle down once the number of players gets back down to normal levels.

Normally when doing matchmaking I get a really laggy match once every 5 or 6 matches, and that's because it's someone hosting from another country. But since the update every match has been laggy as hell for me even with US hosts.

Private matches are still fine though.
