Disgaea 3 patch adds Trophies and Home support

Disgaea 3 has been updated in Japan with two new features: Trophies and PlayStation Home support. The two go hand in hand as well. Unlocking a Trophy in the game will also earn you a reward in Home: a Prinny trophy you can place in your virtual abode.

Of course, getting the Trophies won't be very easy. Siliconera reveals some details on what you must do: "One trophy is awarded after dealing over 10 billion damage and another is given after a Counter-counter-counter-counter-counter-counter-counter-counter-counter-counter-attack." Excuse me?

We're hoping English language versions of Disgaea 3 will also receive this patch. It's always nice to see developers update their games to take advantage of all the new features added to the PS3 post-release.

I was waiting for this day! It has finally come!

I know... what the fuck Sony? Trophies in Home was one of the top features I wanted, along with watching videos off my HDD in my virtual apartment, with friends.

Wow, this is what I wanted to see. Trophies in home.

I'm liking how trophies are finally being implemented somewhere.
Home is the perfect place to do this.

A pleasant surprise, now if only Valkyria Chronicles could get a trophy update and I'd be in heaven.

I been playing a lot of Disgaea 3 lately, please let this patch hit here soon, also strangely enough on my website there has been a lot of Disgaea 3 traffic, I ended up making a general guide for the game it was that consistant

The guide is pretty simple, getting reminders is always good, also in the middle of trying to make the site more streamlined/better

As soon as trophies drop for this, I will order it. Same goes for VC. I have been on the fence about both of these, but trophies will tip the scale. Bring em!

Duuuude, please don't wait to buy VC; just get it, it is phenomenal. It sucks there aren't trophies, but the game is still awesome and fun.

I agree, I do not want to start my file over again too just to get these trophies. =(

I believe recent firmware updates added the ability for games to convert your existing saves over to a trophy-ready format so you don't need to start over, at least that's what echochrome did for me when it's patch came out.

Few if any of the trophies require the story line. You shouldn't need to start over. You have to reaccomplish them if you've done them already but you can use your current save to do that.

well GTA was the same, after trophies were implemented you had to start all over...

damn, the highest i ever got my damage up to was 900 mil in disgaea 3. 10 bil? thats crazy. also, I better not have to start my file over, cause i would be as pissed as all hell.

Aww but i've already done so much of the game!

I deleted my save file ages ago and now Im stuck inserting the disc to see if theres trophies yet, there was a update or 2 that made me happy only to be broken to see its not in my trophy case.

Soon it will happen I just the other trophy whores on my list will let me play it instead of having to reply to countless messages.

I really hope the trophie patch come out soon. I also hope that i dont have to start all over to get the trophies, and how the hell am i soppuse to get 10 bil amount of damage, that almost seems impossible ( ALMOST lol) hope NISA also releases the Disaea 3 space in the american playstation home with those Home trophies.
