GDC09: Fat Princess offers single-player story, planned for Summer

The developers are aiming for a Summer release, with some final tweaks currently in the works. It's a bit later than the expected February release, but it should be worth the wait.

The videos look like this is going to be a blast. I'm glad their taking their time to polish it up and make it a game worth buying and not just try and release a polished turd *cough*watchmen*cough*

Does anyone know if this game has split screen, and if so, up to how many players? I was under the impression that it did, but my boyfriend told me the other day that it multiplayer was solely online.

This game misrepresents fat princesses. Most of them are not so morbidly obese that they have to be carried or rolled around and not all of them like cake. Some prefer pie.

No split screen, only online multilayer. They had this playable at the PlayStation Blog meetup at the GDC, and it was actually a lot more fun than I expected.

I cannot get over this title. Every time I see it I want it more and more. It's a strategic team warfare game in a cutesy yet overly bloody setting with arcade style gameplay. What a perfect combination!
I have a feeling the whole PS community is going to get into this game.

I'm kind of curious about the amount of CPU processing needed for this game. It doesn't look like it'll be as processor-intensive as Flower. If that's the case, then it stands to reason that split-screen might become available eventually.

Oooh :( so dissapointed, this is the one game im really loking forward to everything else can crawl under a rock as long as i get my hands on this.
