If you've been straining your eyes and ears over the recently released "soundwave trailer" for Modern Warfare 2, you may want to give your weary senses a rest, and turn your attention to one of two comprehensive breakdowns of the trailer that recently appeared in our inbox. The first is a video analysis from YouTuber d4v1dm0rt, which is embedded after the break. The second, a compilation of zoomed in screengrabs from the trailer (broken down by Binge Gamer's Mike Murakami), can be viewed here.
They probably spotted a few items you might have missed out on -- such as the brief image depicting five perk icons, four of which appear to be entirely new. Maybe you didn't catch the flash frame of O Cristo Redentor, which could be hinting at Rio de Janeiro as a possible in-game locale. Perhaps your keen gaze overlooked the momentarily visible teddy bear, which could symbolize ... cuddlier enemies? Yeah, we're still not too sure about that one.
[Thanks, David and Mika!]

my 5 cents:
my 5 cents:
1st Stopping Power
2nd Faster Sprint
3rd No Knives (metal detectors at security? ceramic weapons might get through)
4th Thought it could be martyrdom though grenades would also be caught by metal detectors)
Could be extra damage from falls?
Might make sense to balance two ‘Perks’ with two ‘Cons’ to spice things up?
Therefore if you want Stopping Power online or in campaign, you get no knife
& if you want a Faster Sprint you get extra damage from falls.
5th Looks like an airport sign in background.

Play hardcore and Juggernaut doesn't matter. Only thing about hardcore is not enough gametypes, but they'll add more. Hardcore: it's the only way to play. It separates the men from the boys.

the 4th perk is clearly some time of cloud from a bomb, possibly atomic?

lol, that would be funny to sneak and stab someone in the back only to have a random arm pop out to block it.

I thought he was saying "Remember, we're Russian," as if they _are_ trying to frame them by posing as Russians during their attack.

My vote is for the "remember, we're russians" version of it. It's so much more awesome that way.

The first time I watched it I thought it was "Remember, they're Russian." As in they are big-ass mofos with nothing to lose.

If they were posing as Russians, however, why speak Russian in the lift? It seems more plausible that they are Russian, but are, as mahouneko said, trying not to give away their nationality.
Also, it's in the context that one man spoke in Russian, with the other replying in English.

If it's "Remember, no Russian" then maybe he's saying be careful not to speak Russian, so as not to give away where they're from. Of course, that would rely on their accents being perfect, which is hard to do, but possible if these guys are highly trained operatives.

I have to agree with Tyler. That makes more sense to me.

That is what I thought they said. They don't want people knowing that they are Russian.

I think that the Teddy Bear means that Modern Warfare 2 is going to have either an identical Zombie mode (as seen in World at War) or it hints at some type of unique mode that we can't possibly predict.

The teddy bear has been in several of the past CoD games, not sure what else you can get from it. Zombie mode? Huh?

MW3 may be hinted!!!
when they go up in the elevator, you see M, 1 & then 2. Probably referring to Modern Warfare 1 - 1 and 2 - This one. However, near the end of the trailer you see numbers like you would above the elevator doors. To the left is M & 1. Circled is 2. To the right though, is probably the end of 3. MW3 in the works? Hmmm.
Nice Vid though!

The way I'm hearing it, he actually says "Remember, no Russian", meaning "do not speak any Russian". As if they are trying to conceal that they are in fact, Russian, or trying to frame some other group/country.

Well, if you wish to go into detail . . . In the end the guy says "Революция не возможна без революционной ситуации", which means "Revolution is impossible without a revolutionary situation" or ". . . without preconditions for revolution". The meaning isnt clear, make your own conclusions.

So.. they are telling each other that no russian language should be spoken only to shoot everyone off their sight, right after they get off the elevator? I think they're saying "no rushing in" to attack everyone in surprise.

ok.... I was thinking about this one for a while. They are saying "Remember, no Russian" because they are in a Russian airport (maybe, there was a sign that was in russian and then another that was in english.) In fact, maybe the scene changes every now and then, because at the very beginning, it sounds like the chatter from the people around them is in Russian, then switches to English for the telecom, then back to Russian before the elevator, and then back to English at the Security room. I think that now that I think of it, he says "Remember we're Russian" NOW IT MAKES SENCE! ALALALALA lol sry. The Russians are bombing the Russian airport while the Americans are killing everybody in the American airport. Just to frame each other. And you finish it from there because I've got some homework to do... :P

You do realize there were Teddy Bears hidden on CoD4, right? There's one in a TV in Chinatown which can't be found until you break the TV, and I can't remember where the second one is. Who knows?

There were also Teddy Bears in COD2 as well. I always thought it was cool how they left em in bedrooms where you think "This could have been a little kids room, now look what its become!"
