A true April Fools track would likely be Sponge Bob doing "Don't Stop Believing"

@Markez, the problem with "selling something" is that they would actually had to release it, not to be accused of false advertising etc. They cannot publically claim that they will release something that they won't.

Those Spongebob joke tracks are releasable but still tongue-in-cheek.

Geez, guys. Grow a funny bone or something.

It's a release IN THE SPIRIT of that day.

Also, jeff. I can call you "April Fools Joe" from now on if you want.

This isn't an April Fools Joke, I imagine there's still a lot of folks with bad tastes in their mouth after being conned into the Zelda movie joke and you're afraid to buy into Spongebob but I'm pretty sure a company wouldn't be falsely promoting content for a universally known IP (sponge bob) and then trick everybody and say, HAHA.

Now when you see the Spongebob Squarepants vs Gears of War title announced on IGN on April 1st, you can scream bloody murder

If the spongbob tracks are actually coming out, then im totally gonna go onto a friends xbox and purchase one of these songs for a joke.
Imagine playing rockband, going into a random list of songs and then spongebob comes up

Strange, I thought for sure they'd counter Guitar Hero Metallica with some of their own Metallica but I guess not.

Not to stick up for guitar hero, even though I am getting GHM, but how do you expect them to change the gameplay? It's a music game, they're always going to be the same. I don't see people knocking RB2 for being exactly the same as 1.

WHAT?!

how is RB1 like RB2, RB2 actually had improvements... dozens of them!

drum/fills trainer
SP World Tour
Online Co-Op
Backwards Compaible DLC songs + 45 transferable tracks from RB1
Managing system
the whole User interface and menu's

Rock Band 2 pawns GH:WT only innovation - MIDI Ringtones Costume Tracks Maker

and not 1 of those changes changed the gameplay. The only real change to the gameplay in any of these music games is when RB1 added 2 other instruments, but other than that it's been the same since GH1.

PR0F3TA - It was actually 55 songs that were exportable out of Rock Band 1 (all but 3 of the songs on the disk).

Actually, I would argue that adding in the ability to continue to pick up Overdrive when Overdrive is active was the biggest gameplay change that the Fischer Price genre has seen since it started.

It greatly increases the possibilities when trying to find the optimum overdrive path. And i've been in plenty of ranked matches that ended 100% vs 100%, with the only difference *being* the overdrive path.

And as a bonus, since I'm raising a little geek, he's also going to love "Don't Stop Believin'." Almost as much as Dad.

Weird Al would be sweet! 'though, there've been too many songs in which I heard his parodies first and the actually song second. We need a new generation of confused music listeners!

Also, we'd need an accordian peripheral =]

I'm sitting here on my computer right now waiting for the UPS guy to show up with my RB2 bundle that I was finally able to buy as a result of birthday money and being on sale on newegg.

I read this now and think "Hell yeah, do I have good timing or what."

Is that the song that features in Rescue Me and now on MLB Network? If so then I have to get this for my wife - she loves that song.

Oh, I don't have volume, in case you were wondering why I don't just watch the video.
