Developers have used paper prototypes for decades. It's nice they're finally talking more about the process.

Actually his name is Steve Librande. "Stone" is his nickname, and I should know since he was my teacher.

I attended Stone's paper prototyping elective during the game design workshop at GDC. Though we were limited to creating our prototypes in just a couple hours, it was a great introduction for learning game designers like myself.
