Here is a lil more info on Joe Louis

Joseph Louis Barrow (May 13, 1914–April 12, 1981), better known as Joe Louis, was a heavyweight boxing champion. Nicknamed the Brown Bomber, he is considered to be one of the greatest in boxing history. Number one on Ring Magazine's list of 100 greatest punchers of all time. Louis held the heavyweight title for over 106 months, more than anyone else before or after him, recording 25 successful defenses of the title. In 2005, Louis was named the greatest heavyweight of all time by the International Boxing Research Organization.[1] He participated in 27 heavyweight championship fights, a record which still stands.

"That's right he did whip Joe Louis ass"

I am thinking the last fighter is either the brown bomber or Rocky Marciano. A white heavyweight for diversity imo.

I would like someone more current, like a Klitschko maybe?

I can do without Joe Louis or Marciano. Reason i say this is because why only add 1 more EA? If that is the case, i am sure many FIght Night fans(gamers) were born in the early to late 70's(and later times of course) therefore its only natural i would like to play as someone that is recognizable.

Its like putting in Madden 2010, and itching to play as Joe Namath, Dan Marino (??)
Riiight.

I agree, but the lack of household names in boxing, particularly in the heavyweight division, makes EA's task a little difficult.

They could put a Klitscko (sp?) in the game, but how many people know that Wladimir is to face David Haye this summer, or Vitali defended his title - in what was a very tedious fight - just over a week ago? I'm assuming not many.

Fight Night appeals to a wider audience than the traditional boxing fan club. It's sort of like FIFA, where people who don't even like football can get into the game. Well, that's been my experience. Everyone's heard of Joe Frazier, but who's Tyson Fury? Naming Fury is a bit unfair seeing as he's only had three fight, but you get my point.

But would you really trade George Foreman's place on the roster for someone more prominent like Sam Peter?

@ Nigeria

If only they had the ability to put in more than 8 playable heavyweights. Oh wait they do.

Personally I don't really care about fighting with the legends. Most of the fun of the last game was career mode and running into current fighters along the way. For me EA really dropped the medicine ball on this one. *rim shot*

I see what your saying Nigeria and i agree, but butenko makes a great point as well. I really wouldn't want any of the "Greats" removed in favor of someone more current, but i cannot lie. As Butenko said playing career mode it was more of a thrill for me knowing your next match is up against Mosely, or Taylor rather than fight against someone i have only seen black and white clips on during a documentary of some sort.

3 letters. D.L.C.
I'm pretty sure EA will have DLC's for future fighters that they want to put in the game.

Thats what i thought for many games that are out right now.

CoD4? Gears of War2 is pooping maps like a baby with upset stomach and Fight Night Round 3, had me wondering are they going to add any new fighters etc. Or is that it?

Well CoD4 has 1 map pack...and FN3 is just that, FN3.

They should have two versions of George Foreman: the 70's fro-wearing
giant and the old 90's version grill pitchman.

Gotta get Larry Holmes in there. He is one of the most underrated
heavyweight champs of all time. A prime Holmes would have beaten the
crap out of Tyson.

Also get Holyfield and Buster Douglas. Holyfield was one of the most
fun fighters to watch. Buster Douglas was only good for one fight,
but when he was in shape he was a great talent. Plus, some Tyson
fans would probably like a virtual rematch.

If George Foreman can pound faces into the mat with his George Foreman Grill, then consider this a must buy. I do want to mash Tyson's whiny life into a paste, though...

Good to see Lennox in there, although tbh I'm more concerned about how they'll be changing the create-a-champ customisation, in FNR3 it was annoying being stuck with pretty much the shame face shape (or at least not having enough control over it), the hopefully the disappearing haircut is fixed too (I think it was the 'butch' haircut disappeared after training)

ouch, that sucks.

Fighters being signed to another gaming franchise is one of the only forgivable reasons that they arent included in fight night IMO

Im a little bit annoyed that these are the *only* heavyweights available in the game. Do they not include more people for money reasons? Time constraints?

I'd love to see Holyfield, Holmes, Chris Arreola, Wladimir & Vitaly, Haye, Marciano, Norton, Spinks etc etc.

Other non-heavyweights (that havent been confirmed) that I want to see in the game are Prince Naseem Hamed, Floyd mayweather, zab judah, paul williams, and ceasar chavez.

Haye hasn't done much to speak of at heavyweight yet. We'll see if his Klitschko fight comes off...

I agree about Judah - how fun would it be to counter punch the way to the top!

Can we also get Antonio Margarito and his loaded handwraps? Current P4P kings Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez should also be there too. I would like to see some young fellas like Kelly Pavlik, Chad Dawson, and Andre Berto too.

FNR4 looks more "shiny" than FNR3. The poly count looks to be up a bit and the physics are better, but the look of it is a step backward IMO.
