This is the way you make a movie-licensed game! Get the original cast / writers etc. as much involved as possible.

Seriously... you don't know who Harold Ramis is? You must be a tween.

MystileArmor, that's a LOT easier with a 25-year-old movie whose cast and writers are semi-retired. Why do most blockbuster-license games suck? Because they have to be out while the movie's hot.

Zack, I see where you're coming from, but I don't know if I agree. When a movie-based game is tied in with the release, it would be easier to get them to do voicework etc. for the videogame while recording the voice dubs for the actual movie. Also, at that point in time, the whole cast is already complete and a videogame could be part of the initial movie contract.
Making a game based on a movie that's 25 years old is alot harder. Actors could've changed interests (Rick Moranis (sp?) for example), voices change over time or they simply could've been deceased.

Also, most movie-based games are based on the direct story of the movie and are not prequels or sequals. This game is a continuation of the story.

Oh, forgot to add that I do agree with you about most movie-tied games being rushed and therefore being utter crap 99 out of a 100 times.

I don't know why, but any news about Ghostbusters puts a smile on my face.

I'm not holding my breathe for this to not be a epic fail. If it is good this will be the first movie based game to be worth anything.

I'm feeling cautiously optimistic about this and the Sin CIty game... Afterall, Goldeneye was definitely good for its time.

Actually, I quite liked the original Ghostbusters game, that came out on the Commodore 64 among other systems. You should google it; some one made a remake of it using much more modern graphics and MP3 sound. While not outstanding, it was a good, fun game, and still is 25 years later.

Ya, it's not spam. It's the Vodka that Aykroyd is pushing and the video on the website is a wild infomercial starring said actor. That being said, I want one of those skulls.

You know, kind of like sitting down and writing a screenplay or a script for a movie like Groundhog Day.
