I don't know what's more saddening. The fact that Home will have a McDonald's space or that you want one.

I don't think the part where you said you love it was a joke - it didn't sound like it. So, why not answer his question? How much time do you use it and what do you do?

You're right, but amazingly I can read. The period showed a change in thought from the comment about loving home to the new thought of joke store ideas.

But sometimes I hustle my skank ass 'hos, too.

Playstation Home ... total waste of space. I downloaded it, made my prototypical Lance Bass circa 2002 look-a-like (which is really the only option you have), and then proceeded to run around a city square for about three seconds... doing absolutely nothing... and I quit it likely to never touch PSHome again. I Don't see what content they could add that would make it worth while.

Guess what?

There isn't a single person that cares about your opinion. In addition, you're kind of late in telling us the perceived faults in Home. That party was happening when it went public.

"There isn't a single person that cares about your opinion."

Sick of hearing that shit, especially on an internet board where nobody's opinion really matters anyway. It's just a 'hey you shut up i dont like u' argument, you know, the kind most of us stopped using waaay back in middle school. What you meant to say was

"I don't give a shit about your opinion because it doesn't fall perfectly in line with mine."

Come on.

@ Doom

I agree completely with him. His comment just seems to do nothing but repeat what everyone already knows.

Also, something that is equally as bad as 'opinion + internet' is assumption.

jarhead906, if you don't take into account others opinions, why should anyone care about yours? Why even bother to reply?

Brazell, I dunno, I guess it's all down to what you personally prefer, I do think Home is bland, but at the same time, I wouldn't say its a waste of time, I think there is more that can be done with it, but right now its early days, so all I can do is see what Sony pumps out, though there are tons of ideas I have in mind that would make me even more addicted to Home then the games I even buy. :D

They need to step up their advertisement of this kind of thing. The only people that use Home are the people on these forums and gaming sites and even a large majority of them don't even bother.

Who knows about things like Xi besides someone who frequently already visits these sites?

It may be growing in use (though I always divide anything Sony says by at least a factor of 2), but I can't see it selling consoles.

Actually, I know a girl who did buy a PS3 just because of Home. The chat thing appeals far more to girls than to guys. Many girls I meet on Home use their bro's PS3 just to chat. Aside from that, they don't touch the PS3. So...it's very possible for Home to move a few extra PS3s, but it ain't gonna be anything significant.

I guess it depends on what is put in Home, more activities, more exploration, more events, maybe concerts or shows.

Sony has a movie industry, they could show premieres of thier movies on home, for a price of course, or for contest winners.

Who knows, I still think it could be pushed further.

At the end of the day home is basically pointless though.

Sure its pretty but it is meaningless. You can play a few simplistic games in there, the clothing and purchasing items for your virtual apartment is novelty for the first few days and then it's just pointless.

What use does it actually serve? Who cares about advertising? i can see more than likely the same videos etc on the internet without taking up even more room on my ps3's hard drive.

Who cares about meeting a ton of people? you can do that in a game - I personally don't care to meet random people - I prefer to play a game, find a good person or persons that are in that game that i play along well with and add them as a friend that way - trying that in home, finding a person and then adding them as a friend, playing with them to find out they are either good, or just idiots, rude, bad players etc where you then remove them from your friends list is just counter productive.

All in all home is just a glorified pretty environment with no real purpose.

I like home, I've met a number of people on there and spend a bit of time just idly chatting, I prefer the scenery while chatting then the PS background on the normal friend chat system.

Saying that, it's very limited, BUT, that can all be changed, I still think Home has potential, but Sony needs to tap into what will make it more exciting, first things first, why do people like WoW apart from killing creatures?

Well the answer is, the adventure, not only that, meeting people and having GOOD activities to take part in, Home spaces should be filled with competitions, ways to earn points, EA is tapping into that I see with thier new space, but how about mini games in the RE spaces, or at least something to find, collect or play in each space, whats the point having a large open space, bar the lobby, to do nothing in?

I'm looking forward to seeing a Konami and Capcom section in future, I wonder if they can outdo EA.
