Tell Naughty Dog what you want in an Uncharted 2 Collector's Edition

For fans of a franchise, collector's editions are always welcome. They're usually jam packed full of goodies and extras which are well worth a bit of extra money. Naughty Dog is thinking about setting one up for Uncharted 2 when it launches this autumn, but it doesn't know what it'd put in it. That's where you come in.

A collector's edition hasn't yet been confirmed -- Naughty Dog is just testing the water to see if it would be viable. If you have a good idea for an Uncharted 2 collector's edition -- should one be made -- then leave a comment on this post, in case a Naughty Dog representative should come snooping round. Alternatively, feel free to twitter your idea and include the hashtag "#u2ce" in your tweet.

As for us, we'd love to see a boatload of behind the scenes content, an artbook, copy of the game script, a "How-to: The Perfect Half-Tuck" guide and a working replica of whatever magical treasures are found in the game. Nothing too extreme.

I'd like an artbook, a replica of the dagger treasure or whatever we saw in the teaser trailer, and a CD with the music from the game.

Since they had the behind the scenes footage for the 1st game I would like them to put it on a seperate blu-ray in one giant behind the scenes video. A Nathan Drake Figurine and an Artbook

I don't buy Collector's Editions and the -"Behind Scenes" of the first one was pretty entertainment.

Absolutely! He seems like a bourbon kind of a guy, so I say package it with a bottle of Basil Hayden's or maybe Knob Creek. Nothing too fancy, but better than, say, Early Times.

I'd like to see a coupon for Drake's Fortune. The game is 2 years old and I still can't find it for less that $55. So if someone already has U:DF give your coupon to someone you think would enjoy the game. Shouldn't be hard to be nice to friends. Also, a trophy whore tip sheet/booklet would be nice IMO. Lastly, I'd like to see bonus stuff such as previously unreleased trailers for future Naughty Dog games, code for a premium U2:AT theme and a "collectors edition" box art.

Wow Uncharted is a perfect franchise for a collector's edition. I think it should have at least an artbook (that looks like his diary with the tear and wear), a soundtrack cd, and a stand alone blu-ray with lots of behind the scenes and trailers.

If they can go the extra mile then they should include a replica of Drake's ring (one that you can wear), a comic book telling one of the many adventures Drake must've had (remember the creators like to treat this as pulp fiction) and an action figure with a half-tuck shirt. Or instead of the action figure they could include the belt clip Drake's uses.

If they do it...I think it'll be the first collector's edition I will buy...bring it on!

Also to those that want Sully and Elena back...I agree they were great characters but I think it would be better if they don't appear at all in the sequel. It'll add that much more to the whole pulp fiction vibe they are trying to recreate with the franchise.

I would love they would drop off the 2 from the title and just call it "Among Thieves". That way it would feel so much more as an independent story about the many adventures of Drake...please Naughty Dog, if you are reading this, heed my advice.

I'm not interested in an action figure (because they nearly always look awkward); if anything, it should be a quality figurine, without the bizarre looking joints. How often would someone move the arms, anyway? I'd be fine with Naughty Dog picking an appropriate pose themselves if it meant that it would look better, and not like a child's G.I. Joe toy.

I would also love to see a fairly large poster (which I could frame and hang), as well as a soundtrack and perhaps some bonus in-game cheats to unlock and mess around with.

As for an artbook, I would prefer that they gave it a separate release and went for high quality. I don't like the ones that are small and would rather pay more.

The most important thing for me, though, is the case it comes in. The only CE I have ever purchased is MGS4, and the case is wonderful. I'd really like Naughty Dog make something similar.

Finally, the behind-the-scenes content should remain a non-exclusive. Everyone got it in the first game, and I don't see any reason to put it on the standard and CE of this game; however, if they could seriously gather enough content to fill a second disc, then I would no longer be adverse to the idea.

Artbook, behind the scenes special blu-Ray, extra content for Home on the same blu-Ray, Drake action figure, real life replica of the Platinum trophy icon (In the first one it was a medal, if it's the same style yet again, it will be a real life medal), your idea of the guide to half tuck (+ special for double half tuck), some spanish gold replicas, a copy of Sir Francis Drake's journal, an old map of the playable area (of course only if it happens in a single place like the island on the first game), a short history book for the context (that provides actual facts surrounding whatever myth Drake is uncovering). That is all for now :)

if they have a blu ray it should be in the actual blu-ray box though

I hate getting blu-rays in between two pieces of paper glued at three sides, it just doesn't seem to belong there, or anywhere

Blu-ray with "making of" and "outtakes" reels. There's plenty of room for comedy with the outtakes, just have your voice guy do a few screw-up lines etc.

Figurine of Nathan would be cool, not jointed. Maybe the necklace from the first game, which was a ring on a leather string. Postcards from Nathan from the different locales in the game, mailable.

There are lots of neat little things you could throw in a steelcase with this game.

Perhaps most important would be the case it comes in. With the treasure hunter nature they could really design a cool unique box rather than a cheap tin one. Inside they could fit the regular jewel case and the other goodies they opt for. My personal choice of which would be an exclusive Nathan Drake graphic novel which could be printed in a replica of Drakes journal. Perhaps a prequel story which takes place between the two games.

Soundtrack would be cool if it's as good as the first one.

A unique bluray disc (1080p plz :p) with LOT of behind the scene footage, like in the first one, that was really interesting, but dont talk to us like we are noob !! go deeper in what you show us ;)

Oh and by the way, i would love if the game could be upscaled to 1080p :x

I think a great CE item would be the Francis Drake ring that Nathan wears around his neck (at least he did in the first Uncharted). Also some kind of Uncharted/Naughty Dog bumper sticker would be cool, I'd put that on my car.

Put Uncharted the first one in it! Haven't purchased it yet. Put some cool necklace/jewelry that's game related. A beenie/skull cap like that Killzone 2 one that I've seen.

I would love to see a bonus feature DVD or Blu-ray (unless its included on the disc), an art book and a game soundtrack at the very least. I would totally pay extra though for a replica of Nathan Drake's ring from the game - which in my opinion is a hell of a lot more unique and special than a figurine - not that i would complain either way, but my god I would literally wet myself with joy if it came with a ring I could wear!

For the record Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is my favourite game of all time, so to see Naughty Dog continue the series is in itself a MASSIVE treat. But if any of the Dog's are reading this; pleeeeeeeeeeease release a CE for this! Oh and dont dismiss the ring idea, how cool would it be to own Nate's ring?!
