God of War II - Have you heard? God of War III is coming out within the next year or so. You'll need to catch up with the series by then. Given the choice, God of War II is the better choice of the two PS2 games. Don't worry about that "story" thing; it's gameplay you're paying for when you pick up a God of War game.

Ratchet and Clank - Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is a great PS3 reboot of the series, but in order to truly appreciate it you need to go right back to the beginning. The original Ratchet And Clank on the PS2 is still one of the greatest platform games on the system. Plus, everyone loves a good origins story, right?

Rogue Galaxy - Prepare for Level-5's upcoming PS3 fantasy epic, White Knight Chronicles, by sampling a taste of their PS2 back catalog. Rogue Galaxy is a steal at $15, considering it came out so recently (2007). Level-5's gorgeous art style and interesting combat/crafting systems are all on show in this game.
