Use it as a beer coaster or sell it? I think it's safe to say we were dealing with a moron the entire time, gentlemen.

I don't like the Gears2 controls as much as the original Gears. You had more control of your character in that game, a good example is shotgun battles between two people online in Gears1. There was like a ballet of fake outs going between the two players. That was not only fun to watch, but fun to interact in. You can't do that in Gears2, so you're forced to constantly melee shotgun, but anyway. I don't wanna turn this into a complaint post. I'm not happy with Gears2, but I make the best of it and play it anyway.

The new maps are pretty sick. Courtyard is massive and I thought the biggest gears map, until I played Underhill. Good god that's a big map. It feels like two giant maps put together. On Underhill you can perform the longest sniper shot of any map. Grindyard is kinda small for some reason reminds me of Fallout3. Fuel Depot had a nice facelift. You can now blow up each fuel pump by just shooting at it, rather then just blowing it all up with the boomshot. The falling snow effects are nicer too.

Hey guys, if anyone's interested I just posted a youtube video of a walkthrough of the new maps.

Selfish self promotion I know, but hopefully it will help some people decide if they are worth buying or not. There's also a review posted to the right, if you want to read that as well.

I think this is a good buy for fanboys and lovers of GoW 2. It will be nice to have more maps now that the TU 3 is out. I don't think this is a good buy for the casual GoW 2 player as there is already enough maps to play and it is 800 microsoft points.

Just like with the first pack, it was a day 1 buy for me. I also have a friend that I consistently play Gears 2 with who will also be buying it. If it wasn't for him, I might have held off on the decision and got Ten for RB instead..

But now I just have to get both ;)

I have downloaded the Snowblind Maps and can play on them on private matches. When I try to play on public it finds other players but seems to get stuck on 'searching for an opposing team of similar skill'. It doesn't freeze up it just keeps searching. Can anyone tell me what is wrong? Please any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.
