Rock Band Unplugged box art reveals partial track list
GameStop has revealed box art for the upcoming PSP-exclusive Rock Band Unplugged. The Frequency-in-disguise game will feature "over 40 original master recordings" in a World Tour mode that spans over 24 cities and venues. The box confirms support for DLC through an in-game music store and also reveals there will be no multiplayer options, Infrastructure or Ad-Hoc.
Many of the songs listed on the box can be found in the console versions of Rock Band, but there are a few notable new tracks. Will these tracks be exclusive to the PSP version, or is this a hint at future Rock Band content?

Hopefully it's better than the Painful DS version. My fingers still ache when I think about it.
jarhead906 @ Mar 31st 2009 9:40PM
I thought that was a Guitar Hero game and not a Rock Band game. Even though they're both from the same developer.
BxGT @ Mar 31st 2009 9:46PM
Since when are they both from the same developer?
F1: Basu Gasu Bakuhatsu @ Mar 31st 2009 10:00PM
Talking about the handling & how I hope they don't follow Guitar Hero's path. Sorry I didn't elaborate.
hurricane @ Mar 31st 2009 11:16PM
No, it will be similar to Frequency/Amplitude on the PS2...
stevenrafaelmercadoguillermo @ Mar 31st 2009 9:38PM
Alright! Frequency with some good music!
Not that the first two games really had bad music... But most of it just didn't suit my taste.
jarhead906 @ Mar 31st 2009 9:39PM
That is pretty lame that there is no multiplayer to speak of. Not even local PSP to PSP connectivity?
Sounds like easy money by calling it Rock Band
Martin @ Apr 1st 2009 11:38AM
I don't know a single person that has a PSP. I'd venture to say neither do a lot of other people. So local multiplayer can be forgiven, in my eyes.
But no online multiplayer? That's why I'm still playing RB2 every day, to play against other people.
I'll still buy it. I'm a whore for these games, and I never got to play Frequency or Amplitude.
KeenCommander @ Mar 31st 2009 9:40PM
Could be better, could be worse. I wish for some more songs we haven't seen before. And Float On is officially in way too many games.
Alright, one was too many.
Alex Sohn @ Mar 31st 2009 9:46PM
This is AWESOME!!!! If they have ABC - Jackson 5 in there, that almost definitely means it's coming to Rock Band proper! I'm guessing they snagged a few ones to make folks go out and buy the PSP version, but I bet anything it's coming out as dlc!
sony boy @ Mar 31st 2009 9:48PM
ABC! it's easy as 1,2,3!!! YEA!!!
i am going to buy this week 1.
Kenneth Sy Su @ Mar 31st 2009 9:58PM
YEAH ABC!!!!!
I am done playing Beat It now
MJ @ Apr 4th 2009 11:15PM
MICHAEL JACKSON RULES!
and Marlon, Jackie, Tito, and Jermaine (Jack5)
AND
Randy (Jacksons)
AND Rebbie, La Toya, and Janet (other)
my best wishes to someday a Michael Jackson/ Jackson family Rock Band or guitar game.
Will be the best game since moonwalker on the genesis.
rohan @ Mar 31st 2009 9:52PM
wonder if i will have to carry the whole band kit with me while everyone tries to look at the screen at the same time without messing each other up....
jalvarez @ Mar 31st 2009 9:54PM
Blink-182 -- What's My Age Again? is a new Song to the Rock Band franchise where is it's *
VaultICEE @ Mar 31st 2009 9:57PM
I think I'll have an orgasm if that song comes to the actual Rock Band platform.
Andrew Yoon @ Mar 31st 2009 10:14PM
Blink 182 has a couple of songs on the Store, but I didn't realize What's My Age Again isn't there! Thanks.
KeegdnaB @ Mar 31st 2009 9:54PM
If this actually ends up being an adequate spiritual successor to Frequency/Amplitude, I may just have to get a PSP
Dustin @ Mar 31st 2009 10:00PM
I'm kinda sad most of the songs are from past RB games. Kinda wanted some new ones. Yea, theres 2 of em so far, but still....
William Sun @ Mar 31st 2009 10:18PM
I'm hoping they stay true to their words and keep Rock Band as a platform meaning songs from both the handheld and consoles will be available via downloadable content. Though the question is how different are the gameplay between the two versions and if that affects my "dream".
Neuromancer @ Apr 1st 2009 11:36AM
Yeah I'm kind of sick of most of these songs already. I was hoping it'd be like a new Rock Band with all new songs. =(
Sly (PSN slycooper_rocker) @ Mar 31st 2009 10:01PM
Would - Alice in Chains
Everlong - Foo Fighters
Alive - Pearl Jam
Message in a Bottle - The Police
Buddy Holly - Weezer
Pinball Wizard - The Who
hell yeah, i'm liking the tracklist so far
aj @ Apr 1st 2009 10:55PM
I am too. And I've not been a huge fan of the previous soundtracks to rhythm games before, but this is looking good. Aside from the AFI (I can prove to you that AFI sucks using science), it all looks like it would be fun to play. And BILLY IDOL!
Psycho300x @ Mar 31st 2009 10:14PM
WHAT?! GET THAT ALICE IN CHAINS ON THE CONSOLE VERSIONS!!! (3 Doors down would be nice too)
ice~ @ Mar 31st 2009 10:23PM
BLINK 182!!!!! KRYPTONITE!?!!! Looks like the dust on my PSP has to find a new home!
Jawmuncher @ Mar 31st 2009 10:25PM
These music games are killing livin on a prayer.
It was in both World tour and Roch Band 2 correct?
I really don't want to play that song a third time, I've played it so much already
VaultICEE @ Mar 31st 2009 10:40PM
Then buy the game and don't play the song. Simple.
Miles @ Mar 31st 2009 10:49PM
That's what I did with all the Pat Benatar. I like her, but I'm done with hitting people with my best shot.
Kyattsuai @ Mar 31st 2009 10:40PM
Why did they remove the question mark from Would? but keep it on What's My Age Again??
Maybe I should've removed a couple of THOSE ones...
Rogue5 @ Mar 31st 2009 11:37PM
How can they call this Rock Band if there is no multiplayer? They might as well call this the one man/woman band.
PN04 @ Mar 31st 2009 11:54PM
Because if you;ve ever played Amplitude/frequency, you;d know that you play all the instruments by completing a phrase so it will play on it's own for a while and then you start another instrument. They might have to retool the tracks a bit though to tighten up and make sure you have fewer opportunities for awkward silences compared to the other games though.
Nap @ Mar 31st 2009 11:50PM
I can haz Jackson 5 DLC plz? :(
Schmullus @ Mar 31st 2009 11:52PM
Finally. 3 Doors Down in Rock Band. This is a day 1 purchase for me for that fact alone.
Don @ Apr 1st 2009 12:30AM
This is probably a really dumb question, but the "Unplugged" in the title refers to lack of controller wires, not acoustic versions?
Sorry for my moronitude.

Stephen @ Apr 1st 2009 10:33AM
Hmm I have RB2 on 360, I never saw Everlong in the listing, how would I go about downloading it? Its odd cuz I hear the song in the intro portion of the game but never in the music download store. Hah
thanks
Tom Whitaker @ Apr 1st 2009 6:49PM
You don't have to download it - it's part of the game and listed on the back of the box. You must not have unlocked it yet. Play more, or search out the unlock all songs cheat code.
TheHakku @ Apr 1st 2009 1:44AM
OMFG it's FreQuency 3!!
razzleson @ Apr 1st 2009 2:33AM
Bring Kryptonite to the 360 and I'll be a happy, happy man.
Havok @ Apr 1st 2009 2:50AM
I quote Yahtzee when I say "When the fuck is one of these games going to feature Stairway to Heaven."
Havok @ Apr 1st 2009 3:18AM
Ah, don't get me wrong, most of these are great.
Spike @ Apr 1st 2009 2:52AM
if this is good, i may have to get a psp, but on the back of the box, there is a mic, how the hell are you supposed to sing, i doubt the internal mic is quality, correct me if i'm wrong, and why would you sing along to that in public, where the game is supposed to be played correct me if i'm wrong
TheHeartless @ Apr 1st 2009 5:37AM
Until they bring Miss Murder and Kryptonite to the consoles, I could give a damn.
Dan @ Apr 1st 2009 6:24AM
Could? I suppose that's better than not giving a damn at all.
Archon @ Apr 1st 2009 7:30AM
Miss Murder is available in GH3. I am very happy that it is coming to Rock Band though.
juju187 @ Apr 1st 2009 6:27AM
I wished this was a April fools joke...
OTAM @ Apr 1st 2009 6:39AM
I expect to hear all the bitching about they are milking the franchise like I did when Guitar Hero DS was announced.
Get to it.
Kyera @ Apr 1st 2009 10:06AM
You won't hear that, because they're "milking" the Amplitude/Frequency "franchise" with a sequel people have wanted for a long time.
If this was LOL ROCK BAND ON YUR PSP HERE IS TEENSY DRUMS I'd definitely be all "WTF HARMONICS WOT R U DUIN???///"
DarthFALCO @ Apr 1st 2009 10:06AM
Have Harmonix actually said that it's going to be like Frequency? Because looking at the back of the box it looks like a normal Rock Band game.
B3astofthe3ast @ Apr 1st 2009 11:53AM
In a word: Yes.
Schlagwerk @ Apr 1st 2009 2:01PM
Shoulda called it Wavelength.
