An offer you can refuse: Godfather II premium packs coming two weeks after launch

Two weeks after Godfather II launches April 7, several pieces of premium (i.e. get out your wallet, sucka) DLC will become available on Xbox 360 and PS3. Purchased separately, the three packs will set gamers back $14.75. The full bundle can be laundered for $10.

The Pentangeli Map Pack: All-new Cuba multiplayer map and Junkyard multiplayer map. ($6.75 / 540)

Level 4 Weapons Bundle: Modern Dillinger, the .700 Magnum Impact, the Herzstopper, the MG-S1 Sniper Wolfe, and the Street Sweeper. ($4.00 / 320)

Jack of All Trades: Download Jimmy Lira – Lira starts out with the arsonist, engineer, medic, and safecracker specialties and comes equipped with a level 2 machine gun – the MP38. ($4.00 / 320)

The Corleone Bundle -- All of the above ($10.00 / 800)

Although you're free to complain about these microtransaction shenanigans in the comments below, remember the best way to let EA know how you feel is by voting with your wallet. It's an offer you can refuse.

My gosh. This makes me sad.

I dunno. They are throwing in the multi-player mode for free. I'd rather they charge for something that I can easily pass on as it won't effect the game much, then give me a full game mode for free...than do it the other way around.

They did the same thing with the first game, I guarentee they will release some in-game dollars for download on PSN for free. Atleast we get Tommy for prordering.

but i do give them props for making the MG-S1 Sniper Wolfe. i loved that game and that character.

It's made by EA, anyone who plays games and hasn't lived under a rock for the past 10 years, knows this game will be very laggy upon its release. Thats just the way EA does things; rush, rush, rush, patch, patch, patch...

Week after launch? This moneygrabbing sh*t has to stop. What next? Pay $4.99 to start game?

Even if a handful of people only bought this garbage, EA is still making money. I mean, how much money did it cost them to make the content? Just the cost of paying one or two people that work there continuously?

This kind of DLC is still going to exist even if less than 1% of gamers purchase them. They make money regardless.

I don't know about the XBLM, but with the PSN Store's charge to developers just to host content, it might balance out and cause devs to make 'legitimate' DLC.

And the best part is that you make your loyal customers feel shafted. ...Yeah... Great plan.

..And people still wonder why it is so easy for some to justify piracy..

Let's make it clear. I don't condone piracy but I see how some could say: "Why should I pay 60 bucks for this if we get unfinished game?"

Because if you steal the 60 dollar game, game companies are going to pull more shit like this to make up for people stealing their game.

EA sucks when it comes to DLC, they really know how to put the screws to gamers. I didn't buy any of the crap in the first game, and I'm not gonna buy it in this game either, this content should be in the game.

EA stop selling half games, and charging us more.

I'm glad the news on DLC comes before the game gets released. It helps me to not purchase the game and fund their bullshit tactics

I'm with you on that one. I was considering buying this game, but after reading stuff like this, I think I'm just going to hold out till I find it in a bargain bin somewhere.

4$ to unlock a character that is worse that horse amour (which for some reason doubled)

The Horse Armor is now $4.99/ 400 Mickey Mouse Points, so that is actually a 'better' deal.

That gun is pretty sweet, but its not as good as the MG-S2 FatFortune

How about the Street Sweeper? It's the head of a heavy duty push broom dripping marinara.

I was actually going to buy this game when it came out on the 7th, considering that there's nothing else new to play.

What a shame.

What are they going to come up with next?

No audio in the game untill you purchase the "Audio Enhancement Pack: 400 MSP" that unlocks the "special feature of audio in game!!"

Charging people for stuff that easily could have been in the game is just plain wrong!

EA can't even rely on the excuse that they worked on the DLC after the game released. What's next, Gears of War 3 with the Lancer only available as a $10 DLC?

u guys complain about the smallest things I swear all it's doin is just giving u a head start on things u would have 2 get normally not ne thing exclusive come on folks U DON'T have 2 buy it certain dlc isn't worth it and some of it is u can't complain bout warhawk dlc because it's worth it. how about map paccs those are worth it. dlc goes buy ur budget if it's not within the budget they have 2 turn it into dlc

Not saying Watchman sucked but box office wise it is loosing alot of audience everyweek. This past week it had a 60% drop compared to the week before.

first off, two weeks?? this could have been added in two MINUTES!

secondly, no matter how much you loved the movie, Watchmen failed at the box office miserably

Ok... So you pay $60 for the game. Then, you pay $10 for stuff that should already be included in the game.

I see a future where you pay $30 for a game. Then, you have to pay $5 for every hour that you want to play it. When you come up to a weapon that you want to pick up, you have to pay for it with your REAL credit card. Each weapon will be approximately $1 but the premium and rare ones will cost around $5 per weapon. You have to pay to unlock levels and multiplayer costs extra.

Grand Total: $150+ per game, depending on how long it takes to beat them.

Fallout 3 would be very, very, very expensive.

I am not sure if you are joking or not, but I will assume not.

There is a difference between paying a fee for unlimited usage and paying a usage fee. I pay monthly for unlimited Netflix DVDs, rather than pay Blockbuster each time I rent one.

I'm not buying the $10 DLC.

Mainly because I'm not buying the $60 game.

I suggest others do likewise, rather than complain and consume regardless.
