Wasn't this the black and white game that would gain color when you beat an area? I hope they didn't drop that. It sounded unique.

I believe this is it. There was a Game Informer cover story a while back on a Pandemic game that is black & white and gradually get it's color back as you beat it.

Like in Pleasureville! But yeah, there were screens of a guy sneaking up on a Nazi and the only color was his red armband.

Now that Mad World is out, it reminds me of that. I think this game used to have another title about a year ago... and it also sounded very similar to Velvet Assassin and even Wet when they first announced it.

"Announced sometime around the end of WWII itself..."

Holy Crap! For the longest time I thought Saboteur was retooled into Velvet Assassin or something. This is great.

Agreed. A much need aspect to the WWII genre games. It's nice to see a fresh new setting for once.

I agree, especially since it allows the gameplay to be stealth and well, sabotage based. I'm really excited that this is still alive

Didn't Midtown Madness 3 use Paris too?

I don't think it's technically open world.

Well, I suppose the free-roam option was, but the game itself was just a series of races/challenges activated from a menu iirc

I find the fact that it's a recreation of Paris to be easily the more exciting of the two... Has anyone at Joystiq actually been to Paris?

"The site also makes a bullet-point out of the fact the game is the first to feature an open-world recreation of Paris."

Midtown Madness 2 disagrees
