If developer boasting isn't your cup of tea, the video also provides some nice gameplay footage from the title. However, this footage could leave you worried about Logan's mental health -- we're fairly sure wielding knuckle cutlery whilst traversing a rope bridge isn't the safest way to get around.

Obviously they believe in their product, but it is very dangerous to make such blatant statements; now their game will be criticized even more now that they are qualifying it as a "real game" as opposed to a movie game.

The difference between this and Too Human is that at least it won't be using the analogue stick for attacks. I mean it wasn't a terrible feature but something about pressing the buttons makes you feel more like you're doing something, as opposed to watching your on screen character do it.
Still, it looks interesting, I'll be waiting on seeing what other people say before i put down the cash though. Unless they release a demo. I'm hoping they will.

According to the last EGM, they made the model of Wolverine 'stockier' than Hugh Jackman. So probably shorter like in the comics.

And while they made him stockier they didn't by any means make him shorter. They just barreled up his chest a little bit and made him less attractive.

eh i guess i could see that. though i always though of butcher bay as sort of an extension of the franchise, not a direct movie tie in coming out the day the movie is released and meant to follow the exact events of the movie its titled exactly after.

I read the movie wasn't even complete. Whoever released it will probably end up in prison or with a fine similar to that of the bailout.

...That's a tall order.
But I'll say this...at least the guy is actually aware that movie to game (or vice versa) transitioning overall, leaves much to be desired. And it sounds that he/they are making an effort to make sure that it doesn't end up being the next shovelware title...
....but, if they screw it up anyway...that just makes it worse doen't it... :p

GOLDENEYE is the movie game that is awesome because they released it years after the movie, no time restraint!

Hugh Jackman said that exact same line in the movie, but he said it hmm gently/casually that line we heard in the vid was not Hugh Jackman
Obviously the lines fomr the movie are Huge Jackman the rest are some sound alike(not very good sound alike as we seem to agree)

No kidding.. what were they thinking? I don't want glowing hot pink claws that leave trails to tell me I'm in a pissed off berserker rage. Bone claws shouldn't glow orange like some molten metal. The claw trails in general are ridiculously bright and long to emulate motion blur.
Additionally he's too tall and I bet you they don't bother to even throw in any classic costumes to unlock. On top of this we have to cope with crappy movie Sabertooth, really messed up movie Deadpool.. etc...
I WANT to love this game but even if it's fun all these little details will mount up and leave a bad taste in fan's mouths.

I thought the movie was really, really sloppy.
Just don't expect an Iron Man or even an Incredible Hulk... lean more towards Ang Lee's Hulk.

Except Ang Lee's Hulk was actually pretty decent(and in some cases better than the 2008 film) I think it's better to say that it leans towards Xmen 3 quality.

I agree with Vegeta, I liked the version of Banners origin much better than the comics. The whole "sins of the father" deal was pretty great. I'll admit it wasn't perfect, Hulk didn't even fight a whole lot, and whenever Jennifer Connelly was on the screen it dragged forever

Again, NO. Ang Lee's origin for the Hulk was too convoluted, Bruce's father was a crappy character, and the writing sucked.

The Movie DOES NOT SUCK!!
Xmen Origins:Wolverine is a great movie however it is dissappointing in that it just doesnt have the amount of violence people were expecting. It's the events of this movie that give him his rage and anger and make him the guy we all love. It ends with him in Japan,. Silver Samaria!(if there's a sequel) personally I want a Xmen4, Xmen3 was pretty crappy but set the stage nicely for a 4th one.

As I've said before, you really do sound like someone who works for Fox.
Fact is, movie is shit. And I'll tell you why:
From a non comic book read perspective:
1. It's an incredibly boring and cliched action film.
2. Some of the dialogue is absolutely atrocious.
3. Final fight scene is laughably bad.(LOL BACK TO BACK)
From a comic book nerd perspective:
1. Wolverine whining about killing people
2. continuity errors
3. The raping of Deadpool
4. Silver Fox becoming some generic love interest for Wolverine who's only purpose is to die(twice) giving Wolverine a reason to go on his quest.
5. The raping of Gambit(LOL MAGIC STICK POWERS)
6. Making the reason why Wolverine gets his adamantium claws simply to fight Sabertooth instead of it being because he was an experiement.
7. Random appearances by other mutants that serve no other purpose to the plot other than Fox winking at comic book fans hoping to god they'll be too distracted seeing Gambit or Cyclops to see how horrible the film is.
8. LOL MAGIC ADAMANTIUM BULLETS THAT MAKES WOLVERINE FORGET HIS MEMORY.
In fact the only thing actually decent about the film is Ryan Reynolds performance who is actually pretty funny. But other than that, this film is not worth paying money towards. While I understand the effects weren't all in place, cool special effects won't save a movie that is just poorly done. If you have to see it, just dl it when the final cut becomes available and just hope to god Marvel decides to make a Deadpool movie starring Reynolds since I thought he was the only good thing in the film.

i'll have to admit I was rather dissappointed with all the points you mentioned BUT I still don't think the movie isnt crap and enjoyed it alot still if they hadn't messed up those points you mentioned I would have enjoyed it much Much MUCH more!
And you left out one very important flaw in the movie. Wolverine just wasn't as violent and vicious of a killer as he should be,. he's more violent in the current running animated series(which I love ) !!

Yeah, I doubt they'll ever fix that. Notice how after the first few weeks of the switch from DSFanboy they stopped responding to complaints in the comment section.
Anyway assuming this game DOES have a DS version, it will suck. Not that the DS is incapable of having awesome games, but platform-wide releases on the whole suck for the DS.

You got beaten by around 12 years by GoldenEye, not only the movie game that doesn't suck, but one of the best FPS of all time.
And the only reason for that is because they took their time and released the game a whole two years after the film was in cinemas, they weren't greedy, unlike most of the publishers crack the whip on developers and give them four days to spew out a tie-in game.
