I would only buy them if they had the controls on the mic. I don't see why they don't.

From above - "confirmed this compatibility -- which isn't coming to World Tour"

This article peeks at a much larger issue.

Microsoft and their attempts at the casual market = FAIL

When your system caters to such a small niche (i.e. FPS crowd) it's tough to break that mold of a public image.

Why all the delays from rock band, it takes 6 + months to implement?

Agreed. I bought that game, fully understanding the mics wouldn't work YET for RB, but that Harmonix was working on a patch. I played the game once, realized the songs were horrible, and haven't touched it since...

Now the wireless mics are gathering dust.

C'mon! You mean you don't like UM-BER-ELLA ELLA ELLA by Rihanna?! That's pure gold! Plus, easy achievements... I mean, c'mon!

This seems needlessly snarky. I get that you guys don't like Lips already.

It's not a bad karaoke game. Different people enjoy it that I can't even get to play much of Rock Band. Get over it already.

Right on. As I stated when it was released, patch it to work with RB, and I'll buy it for the mics.

I bought it for the mics but the game stopped working for me. No scratches but it becomes so laggy on local games. The game locks up at points. If there is to much shaking from the mic it'll lock up as well.

love the mics but when I bought it I expected the RB patch by end of Jan 09.

I like Lips, it's a good game. They need to get better DLC, that's for sure, and the online community is not that good. But it's a fun game and people getting it only for the mics should at least give it a try.

Are the mics better quality than the standard rock band ones?

The rock band/logitech sound like crap on a good loud sound system. The premium rock band mic was awesome but broke in a couple of weeks...

Why would they patch GH:M but not GH:WT? Aren't they the same friggin' game engine? Or is Guitar Hero World Tour already old hat since they've got GHM and GH:Greatest Hits on the way as well.

James- Major Nelson just tweeted that the patch also allows for use with Rock Band 2 right now. Not sure if it's true, check it out.

I was at BB, and the price on Lips was down to $50. So maybe the longer it takes for LIPS compatibility to come to RB, the lower the price. "You're in The Movies" was $20. If I hadn't made the mistake of buying it in December, I'd finally pick it up, if only for the second video camera.
