If you thoroughly enjoyed Mega64's video shenanigans at last year's Independent Games Festival Awards show, brace yourselves for round two. This year's IGF Awards featured a pair of clips from the comedic quartet, both of which you can find posted after the jump.
The first video is aptly titled IF YOU'RE NOT INDIE, F**K YOU, and features a bunch of people getting punched in the face, except The Behemoth co-founder Dan Paladin, who is, as legend tells us, unpunchable. The second video, Topher Great Payens: "The GDC" (an homage to the equally unsettling Shine on Me by renowned musician Chris Dane Owens) is, well, extremely bizarre. Or extremely arousing. We haven't decided yet.

Wow, that Indie f.u. video was a blatant rip-off of an SNL Digital Short made by the Lonely Island:

People getting punched in the face is surprisingly funny.

I watched the Whitest Kids skit and fail to see how that is in any way similar to either the SNL skit I posted or the Mega 64 video aside from the fact that all three have random acts of violence. Anyone with half a brain can see that the Mega 64 video is almost exactly the same except they replaced "people eating food" with people who "aren't indie". The framing of each actor is the same and the pace of the editing is the same, right down to several shots of someone being punched by a disembodied fist. The joke in both videos seeing 50 random people get punched in the face. The whitest kids skit simply has a similar "theme" of violence being inflicted for an arbitrary reason and revolves around 4 or 5 friends having a conversation about beating each other up. Apples and oranges, my friend.
