Gaming emulation isn't exactly the most legal activity you can take up -- as such, we can't help but admire the bravado of Chinavision's brilliantly named device. CVFH-N03-4G, pictured above. Housed within its minuscule frame is the ability to emulate games from the NES, SNES, Game Boy Advance, Sega Genesis, SNK Neo-Geo and Capcom's arcade platforms, CPS1 and CPS2. It also plays a number of audio, video and image formats, and apparently serves as an e-book reader using text-to-speech technology.
In other words, for just $87.31, you can pick up a device that's capable of playing every form of pirated media known to mankind. Thanks, technology!

Sounds nice at a sub $100 price. Awesome for on the go gaming cheaply (if somewhat illegally *cough*ROMS*cough*). With all of the consoles it emulates, this sounds suspiciously like a piece of hardware running the MAME emulator and perhaps another emu or three for the Nintendo systems.

The Dingoo is VERY cool. I have one playing MP3s in my shirt pocket now, and I've used the thing all day long as we walked around the cherry blossom festival in DC. I have over 100 ROMs on the device, covering the Neo Geo, Capcom's arcade machine, GBA and NES.
Worth every penny. It also plays Flash video, so you can take anything from YouTube using keepVid.com

The reviews of the Dingoo (which is this same thing) look to be pretty darn good. I have to admit that I am thinking of grabbing one too.

Damn, that would be nice when you're sitting the toilet. I'd get cramps though, because I'd never leave the toilet.

Becareful about that, there was a news story about a woman who sat on a toilet for over 2 years and she somehow..... became one with the toilet, her skin actually grew around the seat and started trying to consume the toilet... not kidding. Human body is scary sometimes.

That raises various questions. But I'm keeping it to the point: How in the hell does one have a boyfriend when one spends 2 full years in what I can only assume was a stinky lavatory?

Dammit, I hate seeing that story referenced, as it happened in Kansas (and only about 30 minutes from where I grew up).
I swear, we never make the national news unless we've managed to outlaw evolution again or some yahoo has gone and done something stupid.

Although the PSP can do this, I still wants one. =)

Having both one of these emulators and a PSP, I can tell you that they aren't the same. The Dingoo emulator does Neo Geo better than the PSP, and also plays Capcom arcade games (CP1/CP2) amazingly well.
This thing is also much smaller, and portable than a PSP, with a battery that WILL NOT QUIT! I've played MP3 files for +16 hours straight!

I was reading some reviews from http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.20217
and it seems that the Snes and Genesis emulators are not up to date. Most games will not run smoothly. And if it's true, the main website for this product has been hacked.

But can it run (insert name of game that would never run properly on anything lesser then a respectable gaming rig for obvious reasons, thus rendering the question pointless to ask...)?
Why does the charger on the product page look like it has rusty prongs?

There's a free program called PSP Ebook Creator that lets you turn a text file into JPGs formated for the PSP screen either horizontal of vertically it's very legible and you can play music while you;re reading since it's using the picture viewer. the only downside is that you can't book mark pages but as long as you dont interrupt the page numbers by playing a game you can usually put it into sleep mode and come right back to the same page you last read.

The Micro is very sexy. I have one sitting like five feet to my side, it's a really good system if you don't already have a GBA or a DS. Even then, it's still worth owning.
