Assassin's Creed 2 teaser site launches, includes severed arm [update]

It appears that the ANIMUS has been fired up once again. A teaser site has appeared for Assassin's Creed 2, along with a host of clues about the future of the franchise. While the teaser leaves a lot to the imagination, it does feature Leonardo da Vinci's famous Vitruvian Man quite prominently, lending credence to the rumor that the sequel is set in the Renaissance era.

Beyond snippets of 15th century artwork, the teaser site doesn't reveal any other details for the Assassin's second outing. The website does, however, include an interesting bonus: Printing off a logo of an artifact that displays at the end of the teaser video and holding it up to a web cam while on a special section of the website reveals a 3D model of Altair's hidden blade weapon -- which appears to be one of five images available. Spooky ... but, hey, marketing team! Wasn't Altair (and the rest of his assassin brethren) missing a finger?

all assassins had there finger cut off, it just happens, and theres one person that never did, Desmond, and after all his memories are combining with altair's, thats my theory at least =P

Yes, he does have all of his fingers, you have to remember that we are going from the 12th century Holy Land to what i would beleive to be 15th century France, which means there is a period of 300 years where they could easily modify the hidden blade, to a point where the user would not have to remove the ring finger.

But the one lady (cant remember her name) that stood next to you when you get in the animus was missing the finger

da Vinci and Ezio were best friends in assassins creed 2 wich is the only reason Ezio has the flying machine most of this is obvious if you get gameinformers in the mail and also you do get more wepons other than swords and knives you can use as a example of the wepons halberds and bows and arrows theres a day and night sequence so u can have a new line of attack other than it being day or dawn all the time and also more gaurds newer versions of them ones a free runer he wont stop chasing you he can do wut u can and also you can attalk a gaurd will u in a haestak but b careful gaurds with halberds can poke in them to try and find u if they are already looking for you. cant wait to play the game
