No, we do like RPGs. Mass Effect, Fallout 3, and Oblivion says, "HI TROLL!" We just don't like the turn based games with girly looking male characters.

Yeah yeah, Blah Blah Blah

Where the hell is a Monster Hunter for PS3?

I demand MH for PS3, online would be crazy!(would be great if they made online like Phantasy star, or white night chronicles.)

When they release MH for the PS3 then we can talk...

Plus I'd love to see if anyone here will pay a monthly fee to play MH3 on the Wii...

Looking forward to MH3 no matter what the system! I highly doubt they will put the monthly fee charge on this game either since they never did so with the old ps2 MH game, though Japan had monthly charges (and still does get them). Another thing is that I bet charging monthly for this game wouldn't attract many customers too if they are looking to expand their audience.

I totally agree with the last few posts. If Capcom REALLY wants to get the western audience's attention (as well as the other European and Asian markets), they need to release a Monster Hunter title for PS3. I appreciate that they're trying to bring people together through the PSP, but I'm not really excited about another PSP Monster Hunter game.

Come on Capcom. Make it happen.

Yes there are.
And they're pretty good.

........ but it gets very lonely if you have no one to play it with.
... you out there, all alone fighting dinosaurs and wyverns - really wishing you had back up while the wyvern totally dodged your trap and is about to crush what little life you had left before you can reach the exit. :(

@ ps3 fanboys

stop hating on the wii just because it is getting monster hunter. Looks like you should get a wii if you want it that bad. You don't see me crying that you got mgs4 and lbp.

and for that guy who said " Plus I'd love to see if anyone here will pay a monthly fee to play MH3 on the Wii.. "

I don't know where you get the idea that people who own a wii don't want to pay to play online. Obvs I won't pay to play shitty online, but if it works anywhere as good as mario kart does I'd pay. And if one reason why people wont pay is because people have a wii for the free online well that just goes to say people with ps3 wouldnt pay either since their online is free as well.

wii owners have already justified they are willing to pay for stuff online through wiiware and DLC.

plus if you still don't think people will pay to play because the wii is only " casual gamers"
it's because it only appears that way due to the large install base. yes there are more casual than core owners of teh wii - but when you break it down there is atleast as many core gamers who own the wii as there are who own a ps3. there is just another 25 million casual gamers on top of that.

By the way, what the hell, Yoon? The source article was only about Europe, and not only did you conveniently omit any reference to Europe in Tsujimoto's quotes, but you also specifically talked about America, with no mention whatsoever of Europe.

Another who expects to see Monster Hunter done on the PS3 (And 360, of course). You're printing money, it's time to start using it in development now, you refused a few years ago but it's this time again, and I doubt you can dodge it now.

i cannot wait for this title to come state side. the only wish i have is this... it has nothing to do with capcom but with sony themselves. RELEASE AD HOC PARTY IN THE STATES AND EUROPE SO WE CAN PLAY PSP TITLES ONLINE WITH FRIENDS!!! /caps

now... MH on PS3 would be amazing as well but a psp MH with Ad Hoc would tide me over until then. PS:P is annoying me with all these damn dragon bosses.

its a PSP game yet its linked to the Wii fanboy page
so all the guys asking for a PS3 game get down voted

Fanboys are just angry at the other fanboys claiming that it shouldn't be on the Wii, and only stick to the Playstation-area.

Then if anyone says anything pro-playstation, the fanboys assume they're claiming that the Wii sucks in every regard.
...and oddly enough, that's most likely true. o_o

@ Darkdrium777

ummm, no. it was being developed for both the Wii and PS3. the PS3 version was then canceled because of high development costs not because of "economical reasons". also, i really wish everyone would stop being angry fanboys and just learn to enjoy all three systems.

Nah I don't think so. MH3 was announced for PS3 but then it was ported to Wii for "economical reasons." (Aka Capcom was too cheap to develop a newer engine, ending up reusing the one they've been using for the last five years since it's inception on PS2)

I am happy they are finally focusing on advertising here in the west (It's a good game, online on PS2 was awesome IMO, the game I played the most on the console), but: I along with many others expected MH to land on PS3 (One of the reason I got the machine, yep. And at the time probably the only reason I really wanted a PS3 over anything else). The release of the trailer for the Wii was a big hit. :( It's a legit request, but the Wii fanboys are what they are: fanboys. They will downvote (like any other fanboys) anyone who does not share their views (predicting this will be me as well).

I don't understand why this was linked to Wii either, the video is about MHF:Unite. PSP, Playstation platform, etc. Anyways...

CAPCOM, LISTEN TO YOUR CLIENTS! WE, WE WANT MONSTER HUNTER ON PS3, Put some efforts on a TRUE next gen console, specially PS3!

that was the biggest fail for capcom, put monster hunter on wii... that may give money to your pockets... but wont be good for the franchise...

I think they waited too long for a Monster Hunter Freedom Unite Mix. Most of the hardcore fans have imported the 2ndG version and beaten it to death. On top of that translation patches were already created by fans months ago. This and the fact that many US PSPer's use custom firmware will most likely have a negative impact on the sales for MH in the west.

Mr Tsujimoto is a moron. The problem with Monster Hunter in the west is not the fact that we don't know what it is because we haven't been blessed enough with bad commercials. The problem is that people in the west are indifferent because we don't all sit together on the subway on our way to work playing multiplayer psp games. You can't have a multiplayer phenomenon when it's a hassle to find anyone who even owns the same game as you (much less wants to spend their weekend sitting in your basement playing ad hoc multiplayer). I mean seriously, even pokemon has online connectivity now. POKEMON!! And monster hunter isn't even close to being as popular as pokemon was when it first came out.

I have yet to beat MHF 1 when I bought it almost 3 years ago and one reason is b/c the quest get very hard and of course there is no one to play with. But now two weeks ago I whupped village Lao and now my Koto farm is at it maximum and I have finally gotten those precious joiner grasshoppers. Yes! Now I can finally deal damage to that notorious four horns so I can rank up.

Monster Hunter has been one of my favorite games since the original playstation release here years ago. While i admit im not "EVER" happy about paying to play a game online, I would definitely pay to play this game. For all of you who havent played any MH games yet, this isnt like any other game you've played. The environments are astounding. they keep the game maps set into areas. Since it is designed that way, its easier to get a better look and higher polygon count for each area. They created a new graphics engine for the Wii specifically for Monsterhunter release of MH3. they explain it on an interview that you can find on Youtube.
As for the gameplay. you start in an opening city with other players. in the city you can find blacksmiths, armorsmiths, herb venders, and various other shops and information givers. you also have your own small house in the game where you can store items you collected while adventuring.
To get a hunt started, youll visit the local tavern, many players will be sitting at the tables or at the bar waiting for team mates to join up with. in the bar there is a Pin board with the current available contracts and bounties. these cycle periodically to new contracts, so you dont do the same hunts repeatedly. you can pick up a contract and your name will turn "RED" showing you have purchased a contract. after that you recruit a few guys to take with you, and your off into the amazon/desert/forest/lakes/mountains/caves/etc etc. generally you can take 3 others with you. after killing a dragon, or a beast "after much effort" each person gets to take a turn skinning the beast. youll collect scales, horns, bones, claws, hide pieces. these can all be used to create better weapons after youve collected enough pieces(and iron ore). you can also collect herbs, bugs, some(dragon eggs for quests), and you can fish. most of these can be combined to create soemthing.. for instance, a bugshell and a certain herb can create a poison bullet for your party's gunner (if someone is a gunner lol).. anyway after killing the giant beast your after, youll return to your camp site, which you then have the option to return to the city from there. while in the city you can take the pieces youve collected and (granted you have enough pieces) have the specialty smith upgrade your weapons. youll resupply yourself with traps, herbs, potions (if you didnt find enough on your last hunt) although its cheaper to find these things, you may purchase some of them instead... return to your home and drop off anything that you dont need in your inventory, and then head back off to the tavern again.
(If i left anything out, please interate.) this game needs explained more often ,as its fan base here in america and in some of the eastern area's isnt that big.. mainly because nobody knows what it is.
with effort from all of us, we can get more of these games over here if enough people know about them.. spread the word! (feel free to copy and paste this on any forum!)
