I actually took advantage of that sale yesterday. Plus I got 10% off since there was a coupon in the newest Game Informer (Bioshock 2 cover). I was also planning on picking up Sonic Unleashed with it but it wasn't as good a deal as Valkyria Chronicles was. I haven't started playing the game yet though, too much work to do at the moment.

I agree with this comment. Valkyria Chronicles is an excellent game. I got the game on release for full price and it was well worth it. I wish many more got the game near release.
If people love JRPGs and complain about PS3 not having enough, you somewhat have yourselves to blame for not buying excellent stuff like VC.

Currently, there are only two JRPGs on the PS3: Eternal Sonata and Enchanted Arms. Still plenty of reason to complain.

Don't feel ripped off. This is one of those games that is worth the full cover price. I got it full price as well and I am actually glad it went down in price so that other people who were on the fence can now enjoy the game.

speaking of Canadian pricing, did anyone notice LBP just jumped up 10$ in store at Futureshop, I went in to buy it at 59.99 and over the price they had a sticker on every copy saying 69.99. I went to their website in store and had to get a employee to drop the price to 59.99. aparently they got a memo on Friday marking the game up 10$ but it hadn't hit the website yet.

Saw this the other day when Gamestop announced their sale thing. I bought Valkyria Chronicles on day one for full price and I don't regret it. But getting it for $30 is just that much better for those who haven't played it yet.

Man, great deal. I have no regrets getting this full price in January, hell I think I want to buy another one just to keep sealed, but I'm guessing GS has them all gutted and unsealed.
On the other hand it's sad to see it on the same level as Hulk, Ironman, Sonic Unleashed, and other miserable games.

Your loss. While trophies are fun and a nice little addition to most games anyone that buys or not buys a game based on trophies alone and not the quality of the game deserves lots of crappy games in their future.
This is arguably one of the best titles to be released on the PS3 yet. It is a true gem and I've yet to meet a single person that didn't get caught up in the game when they tried it at my place. I'm sure thre are a few people for whom the entire genre is just not their thing, but that's the damn well only decent excuse possible for not having played through this.

Got this yesterday, not what I expected, and the demo didn't do much for me but after playing through some it's actually pretty fun. For those of you who are thinking about getting it, you better hurry up. There were only two copies of the game when I went to my store, so if you're in a larger area you may not be lucky to get this deal.
