Yes, because Hanna Montana is such a hardcore game.

I don't in any way support this argument, but I have to let you know that with that particular game, he was trying to show that his system had diversity. Not every announcement has to be about how "hardcore" something is.

Really? Owning both, and having both "homebrew enabled", the DS is a piss poor substitute for the PSP in regards homebrew. It just doesn't have the horsepower.

Granted, I play actual store-bought games on my DS more, but I can't see how someone would rationalize selling their PSP because the DS is somehow superior in that arena. It's not even close.

i can't even begin to imagine what LBP:PSP would be like. 2d? it's already processor intensive on the ps3, it'll have to have major changes for psp.

I own both, so I get all the love from both sides of the portable war!
Right now, Nintendo loves me more than Sony does.

Sony ignores "significant gamer game quantity" requirements.

It must be said that the attention that Sony doesn't provide, I get from dark-alex.
He's the true father of the psp community. Or maybe just a rich uncle.

Speaking as someone who dislikes the DSi and regularly says bad things about it, it's a sign of how uncoupled from reality Sony's PR has become that I find myself defending its merits. The DS caters to more demographics than any other system in history. For people who don't own GB/GBA carts and don't care about the inevitability of a Gameboy 4 by 2011, the DSi is probably the best console for a first-time console purchaser ever.

This roll Sony's been on in the last few weeks is almost as bad as pre-election politics, except at least in politics the people making and repeating dubious claims actually think they have good intentions at heart.

All I know is that my girlfriend had to stay late at work for the midnight launch of the DSi and no one showed up.

That cuts in to my sexy time dammit!

The driver farting in the car and inexplicably not letting you turn down the windows is even worse, I've been there...

With all this poor spinning Sony should just buy CNN and Fox News.

I was going to post my opinions, but there'd be no point as this thread is filled with blind fanboyism on both sides.

I'm not quite sure why Joystiq thought this would be a good item to post, seeing as how it isn't really news nor is it surprising, and is only good for inciting dumb consolewars. You might as well have posted "Sony thinks PSP is better than the DS." No duh.

Don't forget Lego Rock Band, which was somewhat "leaked" to be real recently. Go look it up on the Rock Band forums for the knitty gritty.

ANYWAYS, many theories say that Lego Rock Band might be on the DS, so I guess that would add to the pro-DS group.

As for the whole matter in general, I dunno. I wanted to like the PSP, but its been gaining dust in my desk for about 2 years. Last game I bought was a Katamari game.

The next time that happens Cosmo, threaten the driver that you will piss your pants on purpose if he doesn't roll down the windows. Drivers don't usually call your bluff when the smell of their upholstery is on the line.

He was talking about third-parties in that section. If first-party games like Motorstorm and LBP weren't being made then I don't think they'd employ a spokesperson for the console.

Am I the only one that reads through these corporate bullshit statements like it's Charlie Brown's parents talking? Making it a "Sony thing" or "Nintendo thing" is missing the forest for the trees. You'll find more truth in politics.

I love my PSP even more than my DS Lite, but what a moronic comment to make. And this is Sony's hardware marketing guy? I wonder if it was his brilliant idea to create a commercial that highlights the PSP's ability to show pictures, too? Oh well, expecting Sony to have decent marketing is absurd in the first place. They always manage to cock everything up.

This is the old, horrible commercial:

adhoc/internet enabled coop on Demon's Souls where the more players added means higher difficulty and more phantoms. 5 player max unlocks demon mode. If you're going to do that might as well give me guild/clan support.

If you think that's wild wait til you see what I think that they have to do with the hardware to make it more relevant.

In short the PSP is awesome but hampered by a lot of meh.

It's like Sony isn't taking things seriously.

Oh wait, that Sony/Ericsson deal. Perhaps they are now, but past performance leaves me with meh-itis and I'm all out of 'tussin.

I got burned with the DS (twice, actually).

It's basically my fault. I never researched more on the hand held before I bought it. I saw it had Mario 64 on it and thought "Holy shit! This is basically full length,30 hour titles in a hand held format!" Sadly, not the case. I wanted a portable CONSOLE on the go,not games you stop and play 20 minutes at a time. I basically realized I should have bought the PSP in the end. I had quite a bit of games for my DS as well (Resident Evil DS,Sonic Rush,Viewtiful Joe,etc).

The DS isn't bad, just not my thing. I want full length games on the go. God of War: Chains of Olympus,SOCOM,and other stuff like that fit my needs.
