Yes, that's the entire point of him saying this. He's telling people not to worry if his games sell poorly, because he'll carry on making them anyway.

It's True! ET on 2600 was a great game that just suffered from poor sales.

He is right, as long as i like the game and that they release it on time, i dont care what fanboys say abot sells, score or what platform it's on :).

an edit function would suck. the trolls could just edit their comments to make them seem all good.

I propose a two-minute window for editing/deleting. I don't think it'd make us trolls' posts look any better.

-UNIVERSAL EDIT UPDATE-

Lose and Loose are 2 different things!

LOSE means something is coming free, opposite of tight, as in "my tooth is shaky and coming lose".

LOOSE means to not Win.

* I see it so much, i figured if you can't beat them join them.*

I don;t rate games on sales..I rate it on how much I can stomach bad/unfinished designs and balances, when the DLC you are releasing dose not involve overhauling parts of the game you've rushed and ignored.......

*shudders* I hate modern gaming...maybe the 8th generation will get off the drugs (all execs and some devs)and and finish a game before its released....

I am tried of buying betas....

Yeah, but then eventually people realize that you are a game developer that takes what, 3-4 years to release products that are critically acclaimed games that sell poorly and require many, many Dora the explorer games to recoup.

Then they stop talking to you, and you become American Mcgee. Or Yu suzuki. Oh yeah, there was someone who should have worried about sales, between shenmue and his ferrari simulators. Or john carmack. Or warren spector. Or Lorne Manning. Or probably that guy who does Braid. He is so going to join that list soon. Or Team Ico..don't get me wrong, awesome games, but you wonder how they make money.

Or, if you are really deserving of it, Jeff Minter.

Brilliant rip-off of their jobs page, 'cause I love their jobs page.

He's absolutely right. Everyone gets their panties in a wad because game X didn't sell what they think it should and now company A will never make a sequel or original IP again. It's ridiculous and stupid.
