Oh, so this is what that bizarre trademark was about. NIS has just revealed a new PSP game called Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do to Deserve This? via the PlayStation.Blog. This is a heavily localized version of Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida, a mix between Dig Dug and Dungeon Keeper. You must protect the villain, Badman, from the approaching do-gooders who want him dead. In order to do this you'll need to dig around, create monsters and keep balanced the delicate Demon Ecosystem. Sounds intriguing to us!
We're not sure we're going to truly understand the game until we see it in action, but until then you can check out a bunch of confusingly mysterious screenshots in our gallery. It sounds like it won't be too long before the game is out, with a demo being made available on the PSN Store "soon." Check out the PlayStation.Blog for more information, as well as instructions on how to enter the Holy Hidden Codes, Badman online contest.

I don't know what to think of this. Part of me loves the idea, the other part is repulsed by the recent trend of "8bit makes this cool, right?"

Well, now I feel bad for making jokes yesterday about the lack of games on the PSP. This looks great!

From what I got from the demo, you're the bad guy overseeing a dungeon. You crack the stones with your pick to reveal monsters and create the paths that the heroes will take. You want your monsters to beat the crap out of the heroes that enter. You can then do some customizing and stuff that I didn't understand since it was in Japanese.

Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida?
Why the *** must every japanese game have a long name these days?
I remember a time when games were named with 1 or 2 words like strider, or street fighter.
Today.... Super Street Fighter 4 Turbo 3D HD Blu-Ray Remix Online Version 2
But this one takes the bloody cake: Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do to Deserve This? That's like 3 fuckin sentences!
Why not call it Privacy Invasion?

The Japanese name isn't 'Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman!' (and quoting the other part is unfair - that's a subtitle, not part of the name, right?)
I know nothing about this game so just based on what was said in the post about the Japanese name, and guessing at which kanji are used, it might be:
勇者のくせになまいかだ
Not that long, is it? Yeah, it's still longer than 'Street Fighter' (and it's still a complete sentence), but it doesn't look stupid on a game box.
(I don't know how to translate it - something like 'Considering you're a hero, you're a cheeky bastard'? That could be completely wrong... but, um, yeah, using a totally different title is probably a good idea.)
If you want to complain about long Japanese titles there are many many worse offenders. :)

@sam:
That is exactly what the Japanese title translates to. In the Japanese title, "Badman" is known as the Demon King/Lord [Maou] and the player is known as "The God of Destruction". There are two examples of how this game works that I'd like to show to the rest of the Joystiq community:
