1 vs. 100 looks like it has potential to be a fun time, looking forward to learn all what else will be available when it launches.

Isn't the reveal that Primetime is coming out on May 15th bigger news, or did I miss its original announcement?

That's what I was thinking. I don't care who gets the car, I just want to check out this prime-time goodness.

Is this included in the gold membership btw or do you need to pay 400MSP per prime time game or something?

Sadly, both the Insight and Prius aren't very good hybrids. They're mainly driven by a gasoline engine, rather than an electric one, which makes them incredibly noisy and inefficient compared to the alternative.

Okay, first off, I'm not a car salesman, second, I actually like electric cars. Both the Prius and Insight are only MILD HYBRIDS, they are mainly powered by a gasoline engine, not an electric one. There is not a single car for sale that is priced within reason (Tesla Roadster is $110,000, not reasonable.) that is propelled mainly or solely by an electric engine.

Don't know why I was downvoted for actually posting insightful information about the future of cars. :P

"The Japanese giant will be sponsoring the release of the Xbox 360's new online space through a "Play & Win" campaign, forcing participants stuck in queue in the waiting room to watch ads for the car before being thrust into an open game."

Oh, so Primetime is kind of like Home...except that you may be able to win something?

You do have to be a Gold member, but you still aren't paying for Primetime, everything on there, and everything that will be added will be free. Unlike Home, it may actually be worth using, even if 1vs100 is the only decent thing ever on it, at least there's *something* decent.

Think you'll use the Netflix with friends thing? Interesting gimmick, but I don't imagine I'd ever want to actually use it. Granted I haven't seen a lot of details on it... I wouldn't actually want to wear a headset during the movie, and typically the sound on those sucks anyway.

Stayed up late last night and watched a cuppla movies off Netflix, I imagine it would've gone something like this:

King of Kong - Me - "Good lord, I think just about everyone in this movie is the biggest loser I've ever seen in my life. And Billy Mitchell somehow tops them all." Friend - "I know, right?"

Eraserhead - Me - "Good lord, I think this is the weirdest effing movie I've seen in ages." Friend - "I know, right?"

would I use it??? probably not. just trying to get a gist of what all Primetime has to offer. I mean Seriously if I WANTED to watch a movie with someone I'd just tell them to come to my house cause I've got over 1,000 BD movies & DVDs....not to mention Time Warner is about to Cap Bandwidth in my area so damn if I will be streaming too much of anything anymore.

I don't think Primetime includes the watching netflix with friends.
Although I would use that feature to use my roommates xboxs to sync up a movie so I can watch it as I move between rooms. How crazy would that be?!

oh ok gotcha....and I despise silverlight....I hope they dont make that MANDATORY for you to use Netflix Streaming because I use my PS3 to Stream Netflix and as of last check Silverlight wasnt supported in PlayOn

I personally hope they do asap.... Nobody should be using playon if they have access to the real thing on xbox/roku/bd players. the pc version is gimped in 2 ways. you dont get access to the top level in quality on sd feeds and dont get access to the hd feeds at all.

I cant for the life of me fathom why people put up with playon using netflix.... hulu is a different story because there is no better way to get the content on your tv but netflix that is not the case.

And for the native players I really want the ability to seamlessly move from higher quality to lower quality and from lower quality to higher quality feeds (the lower to higher quality is the big issue missing on the xbox player). That is only available in the silverlight version.

this also has a pretty good chance of being the date of the next "major" update for the 360. I am pretty sure this was going to roll out with the next xbox update so we could have gotten confirmation on that update as well.

Most hybrids are ugly. That's part of the reason I bought a Hybrid Civic when I wanted one. I wanted to drive something that didn't scream, "LOOK AT ME!!! I'M DRIVING A HYBRID! I'M DOING MY PART!"

That said, the Insight doesn't look that bad if you're comparing it to a Prius. It just looks like an ugly car, not a car that was intentionally designed to stand out and bring attention to its driver. (I reserve the right to change my opinion once I see them on the road, of course.)
