Then read the review. you don't need a fucking score to tell you what the reviewer thinks of a game.

David, just stop reading reviews dude. Trust me, it will do you some good. The community's influence is more powerful than ever right now, and it will cause you to miss out on games that you would have liked, or vice versa. If I listened to the reviews or trusted the sales numbers, I probably wouldn't have bought Lost Planet, and I loved the game, for example.

Plus, you can't really expect the numbers they give you in these reviews to match your opinions. They usually don't, actually. Reading the actual reviews give you the insight on where the reviewer is coming from. They might, for a completely random and made up example, take points off from a game for not implementing the new regenerative health system in some game, while I like the older system. Just an example.

Do yourself a service dude, don't buy just based on reviews, and REALLY do yourself a service and avoid reading sales numbers. I actually gave up on game reviews and go for user opinions on websites like this, Amazon, and YouTube. They are usually a better source to judge your own purchase decisions on.

You made a good point Levi. Sales numbers doesnt matter at all for me tho, but I will start listening to more user opinions.

Levi I totally agree with you about trying not to rely on numbers when checking out reviews of games - which is why I like the 'Stiq's style, by the way.

But you just listed Youtube as a source of good opinions. I mean, REALLY!? Have you even read any of the comment sections on a Youtube video? It's like the Internet's ass hole down there.

I installed it, its about 7gigs? IIRC. The loading times are like 5 seconds, if you got the space you should install.

Aside from that advice this game is awesome! I decided to pick the hardest difficulty to start with a good challenge. Theres a great feeling of accomplishment when you clear an area after the bajillionth death.

It has to be a REALLY good game for me to punish myself like that! And I'll never do it on the first playthrough. First time through I'll always do normal just to experience the story and feel of the game. If I like it enough, I'll go back on the hardest and give it a go - but only if there's achievements or trophies to be gained by doing so. Otherwise, I'm way too old to be wasting time with bajillions of deaths!

just bought it, but probably won't have time to play it for up to a few days. Ok more excited about BB since I never got to play it back in the day.

I was looking forward to this, having finished EFBB twice on the PC some years ago. Then I played the demo on the 360 and I didn't enjoy it anymore. Maybe I missed something but I couldn't get the drones to walk up a simple ladder? I also can't remember seeing such ugly wall textures since Doom ]|[.

You're right justin, it is strange how the only game that was similar to BB was The Darkness. I always felt like those two games were taking the next steps towards what FPS were going to be. The immersiveness of it, the way FPSing it up wasnt just about shooting everything, but about actually playing through the characters eyes. Hell even the way you could see your hands and stuff move or look at your body was a big step

That's it - I'm finishing The Darkness this week. I left off a few weeks back about half way through, and I need to get it together and solve that game tape.
