My thoughts exactly. Who would want to name their game with such a horrible connotation? Section 7, Section 9, whatever... anything but Section 8!

It gets tricky when you're trying to use a common phrase/name for the title of your IP. Unless Paramount's game has serious similarities to TimeGate, they might not have a great case.

it's called section 8 because that's the designation for military dischargees discharged because of mental insanity, implying that the soldiers of section 8 would have to be mental unstable to plummet from space in armored suits
