Eidos: Batman: Arkham Asylum will be one of our best games

So, there you have it, Arkham Asylum will be better than 25 To Life, Chili Con Carnage, Daikatana, Deathtrap Dungeon, Revenant, Cutthroats: Terror on the High Seas, Fighting Force, Reservoir Dogs, Mad Maestro, Spider: The Video Game, Top Trumps Adventures: Horror and Predators, Virtual Resort: Spring Break, Way of the Samurai and Chuck Rock.

Start polishing those GOTYs, people.

[And yeah, we know we ignored Hitman, Tomb Raider and Soul Reaver to serve our gag. Sorry.]

What's the release date, looking forward to this, think it might be a good replacement while I wait for the new SC.

I might be being anal here, and I might be wrong as well but where is Jon Brookes connection to Chuck Rock?

Chuck Rock was developed by Krisilis and Core design and was owned (the IP) by Virgin originally

However, Eidos didn't take over the IP til 1996 and chuck rock was released in 1991 therefore I can't see his connection.

Perhaps I missed something here?

It's kind of a paltry complaint, but man, did anyone watch the video of the "stealth" gameplay for this game? I just cannot get over the Magnum sounding grappling hook!! How stealthy can someone be when they're shooting off an hand cannon as their main mode of transportation??

It's a minor complaint, I know... but one that is completely killing my suspension of disbelief unfortunately.

Additionally... they have made Batman pretty damn brutal. Blowing people up? Cracking necks? I'm kinda shocked DC let them get away with all that, since he's supposed to be the non-killing type.

Still, looking forward to at least giving this game a few hours to try... it could be the best Batman game in years!

When you say "blowing people up" I assume you are talking about when he uses the gel on the wall and blows the wall up. Thus knocking the guy out next to the wall with the debris. So he isn't blowing the guy up, just using the debris from the explosion to knock him out. Also he never actually breaks necks. He just chokes them out. Pay closer attention and you will see that.

Hmm. I thought Project Eden(PC) was one of their best. Just my opinion.

Yeah, wasn't Way of the Samurai only published by Eidos here in the west? :P

Of course, the more games they make the more experience they have. If their games keep getting worse and worse then they ar... (oops, Tomb Raiders, never mind...)

Anyway, I don't think anybody would announce that "My newest coming up game is gonna be the worst game I ever made". Don't you think?

So will the game be good, or will reviewers be paid to say the game is good? Eidos has no credibility.

Batman will have to be better than Thief Deadly Shadows, which was one hell of a game, and I really wish they would make another one, or remake it because I would buy it 5 times just to get the point across that its awesome.
