That's your opinion, and you're entitled to it.

In my opinion, I'd contemplate prying my eyes out before watching another episode of either one.

South Park on Netflix, here I come!!

You're wrong. And I will elaborate.

The Guild is funny. This is not.
The music in this sucks.
None of the characters are interesting.
The Guild has Felicia Day.

You FIND the guild funny. That's not a fact, that's subjective. I don't find it funny.

The music sucks? Were you hoping on buying the Official Soundtrack to it? I'm sure they tried to get Hans Zimmer to score it though, but he must have been out of the office for the day, so boohoo.

Oh and last, the guild might have Felicia Day, but the internet has porn.

i want to hate it, but it's not bad. I just wish it was more original. It's like the Saints Row 1 of Web Gaming Comedy Shows: It's no bad, but it is pretty obvious what it's trying to ape.

Yes, but Saints Row made important improvements to the genre whilst trimming the more annoying aspects of San Andreas. This is more like Driv3r or True Crime.

I still think Warhammer is way better then WoW but the numbers do not seem to show it. I wonder if it is because Warhammer does not seem to be advertised as much as Warcraft.

And "The Clan" is garbage.

That is all.

It's pretty funny. It's not that bad. If you play any fps online there is always some guy who is either telling his kids not to do something or arguing with his wife. There's always that other guy who turns everything into a your mama joke or some sexual innuendo. And there's always someone who takes the game super serious. Hopefully the next few episodes will be more interesting.

I really enjoy The Guild. It's got interesting characters getting into awkward situations, which any good sitcom style show should have.

I will say though, that The Clan made me laugh several times, and is at least worth a watch.

Well this is pretty horrid. The music is annoying and distracting, I can hardly make out what they're saying at times, and the running jokes (Your mom...) don't work. Besides, wasn't it pretty obvious what's going to happen by the 1/3 mark in?

I'll elaborate on why this is better than the Guild.

My major problem with The Guild is the predictability. I watched every episode from the first season and didn't laugh because I knew everything that was coming. The Guild reminds me of all those shit jokes people use when making fun of gamers in front of gamers. Like when Jamie Kennedy hosted the Activision E3 conference awhile back, he got a ton of shit for just ragging on the gaming culture. But Felicia Day has some dick talk about DPS, and mana for five minutes and its comedy gold? I'd say 80% of all The Guild jokes are simply using MMO vernacular in a real life situation. They don't even have punch lines ( like Dane Cook ).

Even though I don't think The Clan, is the second coming of 30 Rock, its better for one reason: most people who don't play the genre can actually empathize with a lot of the situations in The Clan. You don't have to have a level 80 Orc to laugh at the guy who's a sociopath making crappy "your mom" jokes while gorging himself on a Mountain Dew. Once again, its not incredible, but it wasn't : Use videogame reference... expect everyone to fall down laughing.

And to say that a flaw in The Clan is it's lack of differences within its cast doesn't have anything to do with the content. Last I checked the whole cast of Seinfeld was a bunch of New York Jews who were pretty funny together.

This episode of the Clan was more predictable than most slasher films. Ooh cute chick neighbour.. one guy's distracted! Guess on what happens at the end folks!

The Guild btw doesn't rely on video game references at all for its humour. Not sure if you've been watching, but hey this is the net right... who cares what people say?

BTW, your mom jokes are pretty 90s.

I guess the Clan will have its fans; probably the same bunch as the actors.

In the end, they're both predictable. But the overbearing MMO references gets so old in The Guild, I wonder if they believe that just using one, makes their line funny. Neither show in their current state should ever go further than youtube and various game sites. Especially if you think mentioning experience points is funny for no reason.

This is better than the guild, with the Halo font(to lure in Halo fans), and the first minute of dialogue starting off with a "roll call" for comedic effect?

Roll call people! FAIL FAIL and FAIL again. The Clan scores a 10 for pulling of a Triple Sow Cow of Failure. Yep when on XBL playing Halo or CoD4 or anyother shooter, don't forget to do a roll, call you might be missing someone before the match starts....

Miles speak no more for the rest of the day.
That is an order.

Haven't you figured out the diversity scam yet? Diversity simply means "fewer straight white people". It has no other meaning.

All black, or all jewish, or all hispanic, or all gay, or all asian, or all Eskimo = Diverse and enlightened.

All white = non-diverse, hateful, racist, nazi.

Get with the program dude.

I've been ranting over how i really don't like The Clan, but when it comes to The Guild, i think its bearable to watch in comparison.

Also factor in to who it appeals to...I play MMOs so the humor is there, but i won' t lie and act like i just crack the eff up when i watch it, no. Its just easy on the eyes and ears and has its moments (IMO Vorks frugality i find humourous).

I have seen neither but the argument that the cast isn't as diverse strikes me as one of political correctness where there has to be one of everything in everything... Friends was great without blacks, The Cosby Show was great without white people, these shows probably wouldn't get a chance right now where there has to be at least one Oriental disabled lesbian heroïne addict in it on top of all the others. OK, I'm overdoing it but some of you will get my point.

Oh my god. Its a complete rip off of The Guild. Yes, it has funny moments but really how blatant can they be. The geeky but normal looking leader, check. The hardcore raging young gamer, check. The neglecting parent with screaming spouse and children in the background, check. Love starved character who mixes relationships with gaming, check. The only thing they are missing is a female character who makes fun of the rest of the group and a skinny guy who has no job but plays video games all day. Instead they use the overweight gamer who instead of saying "that what she says" cracks "your mom" jokes on the group and the n00b relative that is completely lost on what is going on.

Honestly, the production looks pretty good. Too good. I wonder if Google/Youtube has some kind of backing in this show since it lost The Guild (well at least airing new episodes) to MS.

I am just saying...

There is no comparison between the Guild and The Clan IMO, somewhat similar to a "white rapper" being automatically compared to Eminem which ridiculous since 99% of them sound nothing like him or have the same range of talent. Same thing applies for these 2 web vids.

Halo 3 or World of WarCraft which one is more fun?

Personally, what i find funny are the people defending this upchuck of gamer stereotype. I'm going to go out on a limb and say i won't expect a major following unless they reformat the script, direction and the constant background music(wtf was that about?).

Terrible acting with generic "controller handling" which annoys me to no end. If your going to mock gaming, then at least try to be more accurate, if one can relate to the actions on screen it might make The Clan more appealing...

Your mom is a p-plasma rifle = trash script and/or bad comedic actors..
