Team Ninja 'bored' of hyper violence, wants Gaiden to evolve

I always wanted to play these games becaus they looked really fun to play. But I wasn't allowed because it was ultra-violent for no reason. I find it really annoying when people play a game BECAUSE there is blood why not play it because it has a good story or game-engine. Hopefully, with these new focuses might, just might get this game.

Does that mean the Gears of War-type game, Quantum Theory, won't be gratuitously bloody? I'm all for it as long as the game is fun and sensible to SOME sort of reality. As in, no 10 gallons of blood coming from a single person.

I am all for it as long as it comes out well in the end.

Final Fantasy turned to crap after Sakaguchi, so I can only hope NG and DOA don't follow the same fate now that Itagaki is gone. Hearing this is making me nervous--to me it sounds like they're just going to copy DMC, but throw in ninjas.

That's good to know. I played Ninja Gaiden 2 and it sucked balls. The camera was terrible, strange pacing, and too many glitches. It's about they reinvent the series.

If they need cash support, I'll buy their games.

I was quite bored of the Ninja Gaiden-angle on ninja games.

Sounds to me, part of it will be making the game easier, so it's actually fun & more accessible to more gamers.. I mean I love the game, but it just isn't inviting to play once you've beat it.. - the bosses at least could be less goddamnned cheap.. I have mixed feelings on this at the moment.. either way, I just hope it makes the games better

Big words for a guy that is essentially porting the work of someone else. You can almost feel the bosses at Tecmo forcing this guy to spout a bunch of stuff that the PR department came up with.

My Tecmo boycott starts with this game, and ends when (if) Itagaki gets a ridiculously fat check for the crap they pulled on him. It sucks that Ninja Gaiden 2 had to suffer because of it, but I will enjoy renting NGS 2, and beating it without ever giving them a dime.

More sexy he says? By that I hope he means more unrealistically large breasted women defying all the natural laws of physics by bringing more bounce to the ounce. In fact lets hope they get rid of the stupid ass Hayabusa and his goofy armor, especially that ridiculous codpiece. It is hands down the single most unappealing part of the modern NG series. Frankly I doubt Hayabusa even likes girls so what does he need to even be in this game for? And for all you apologists out there you can save your "oh he's not gay! He's just to driven to defeat evil and seek out combat challenges to have time for women!" drivel. That's B.S! Defeating enemies and smiting evil never stopped Kratos from from getting a little action from the ladies.

Also, TN should fix the camera. It seemed like it took a step back with the progress they made with NG Black. And as to the original point of the article, I doubt toning down the violence will make the game more appealing, TN should focus more on camera tweaks and making sure the co op works without a hitch. I think the co op mode alone could make Sigma 2 a surprise hit with more than just the hardcore action audience.
