29th of April.
The Days of Arcade ends on the 22nd, Banjo Tooie isn't part of it and Rare said it would be out in April.

Well at least these actually unlock somethings useful to the game. Homing Eggs were a nice feature. The eggs should've unlocked more than dinky little parts like googly eyes and a fishbowl in Nuts & Bolts. I hope they added more than just the Breegull Bash, Homing Eggs and Jinjo as a multiplayer character

You can actually get those hidden eggs in Banjo-Kazooie if you enter the passwords in the sand castle. Gamefaqs has the codes. You aren't really getting anything special considering those secrets were already in B-T, you just picked up the eggs and key through out the game. Still cool that they finally used it like they originally intended.

But not all the Eggs were in Tooie originally, only three (I think, maybe 2) and the Ice Key. So there is some legitimately new stuff.

Wii owners must be pissed off seeing these games only on 360, I can only imagine how they are going to get when XBL gets killer Intinct and Goldeneye.

Boo hoo, if Nintendo really gave a shit about Rare, they'd have spent more money to keep them around than MS offered to acquire them. Gamers' wishes aside, I still think Nintendo made the smart financial decision by dumping them.
That said, I never had either 'Banjo' game for N64, so I'll probably be picking both up at some point.

Considering:
1 - Rare really hasn't put out a decent game since leaving nintendo
2 - I still have my N64
Nah, I'm alright.

Still, compared to their "glory days" of developing donkey kong titles, conkers, banjo kazooie, blast corps, goldeneye, and perfect dark you can't say they're putting out the same level of quality games.

Goldeneye is not coming. There is hope of Perfect Dark coming. Perfect Dark took everything that Goldeneye did right and made it better.
I can't believe that people are still clamoring for Goldeneye. In my Comm class today there was actually a discussion about this that even the professor (although he's not REALLY a professor) got involved with. Why are people so attached to Goldeneye when superior games have been released since? Perfect Dark is at the top of the totem pole for me, and not just on the N64.

That is the best attack ever, Breegull bash. I could watch it all day. I'm actually downloading the clip so I can edit out the egg hunt and just watch Kazooie go splat on the ground...

Seriously, I used to love Rare back in the Late SNES ans N64 era they were great. Now, do you expect anyone to give a rats ASS about this 10 years later???

Nintendo owns distribution rights to Goldeneye, so unless Nintendo agrres, Goldeneye won't be rereleased, and Nintedno turned down having it released on both consoles so that's very unlikely.
And meh, play it on the N64, pirate, or buy a 360 if they want those games that much.

Seriously, I think whoever used to make the trailers for Rare's games was laid off.
Posted: Apr 11th 2009 9:23AM holyice7 said
If I recall, Rare never really made good trailers. I mean, the original trailer for Banjo-Kazooie was just straight-up gameplay of every single level narrated by Jon Lovitz.
That may be awesome by many standards, but it doesn't quite cut it for technical quality.

But these last two trailers have just been so bad... like, I thought they were fake trailers made by random youtubers with windows movie maker...
Seriously, I'm sure there are people who would be willing make better trailers for them for free. It doesn't take that much skill or effort to edit together some gameplay into something that's at least passable.

Three words. Diddy Kong Racing. That's something that would be amazing to have on XBLA. I think I would play that game every day for the rest of my life...especially if they added Live multiplayer capabilities.

Well, they didn't use it as a marketing ploy when the games first came out, but I think it might actually work this time around. I played this game so much with my little bro, and we were severely disappointed with the new game. We haven't bought Banjo Kazooie on the XBLA, but hope to soon. It's not the best feeling to have to rebuy a game, though (that actually applies to unnecessarily rebuying anything). Banjo Kazooie and Tooie are worth it!
