The Punch-Out franchise lies dormant for like 15 years and now Nintendo brings it back with...this?

While we're at it, where's my King Hippo beanbag chair, Great Tiger turban, Soda Popinski carbonated beverage (in three great flavors!), Mr. Sandman Philly cheese steak, and Super Macho Man rubbing oil? Get with it Nintendo.

Would you settle for a King Hippo Punching bag and a Doc Louis Chocolate bar? If so, Amazon's got ya covered on that as well!

I'd consider getting it for those shorts, but L is too big for me - and too small for King Hippo, I'm guessing.

Why does Nintendo decide now, with this game, to start bringing the swag? Unless they know that nostalgia in this case is their only hope to really get this game some mad sales?

Nostalgia is the only way this game is going to sell. Already we have people harping on about rejecting motion controls in favour of the NES Classic style. It's disappointing that Nintendo are caving into the demands of the 1970s babies, it really is.

The Wii was supposed to be about forward thinking, a new style of gaming. This weak concession is neither forward thinking or new.

Those 70's babies eh? Well I am assuming from that statement that you are oh so cool since you were born in the 80's then...or probably most realistically the 90's? Original franchises like Punch Out are what kept them going for oh so long. Granted there hasn't been a Punch Out game since the SNES, but I'm sure you are probably too young to even remember that one either.

I was born in '79, so does that mean I hate the Wii or motion controls? Motion controls were about half of the reason I camped out to preorder the Wii @ launch in the first place. Sounds to me someone could be a bit jealous that they didn't grow up in the 80's to enjoy the NES days of yore.

Somewhere out there, there is a rich bastard who will buy two of these.

Then he'll realize he bought two left handed gloves.

There are 90 dollar bills?

yes, you take a $100 bill, divide it into 10 equal sections, then cut a section off. That leaves you with 9/10 of a $100 bill, which is $90

Actually, Ben Gilbert drew a 9 over the 1 and is trying to pass it off as a 90. Strange that he wouldn't go straight for the million-dollar bill.

Wow, so not only do you get a regular boxing glove for $90, but you can get a fake person's autograph as well! Brilliant!!

Anyone that buys this should head out back with a loaded pistol and the courage to do what's right.

Maybe the glove is filled with mercury for the person who buys it and puts it on his hand.

nintendo isnt happy enough with basically pre-packaging the previous Punch-Out games for another $50 with added motion control. they need to milk another possible $125 to any person with money to burn.

Will you guys at Joystiq ever stop using the "classic" sarcastic opening joke of "We know you wanted this, so here it is"? I mean, you use it every single time you want to ridicule something. It's fun, I get it, but when not overused. And you do.

Except for that, you're pretty much ok.

Nyah, you're just right.
